Default Negociating dealers...and basic question

Ok I am in the army and currently deployed to iraq.....will be back to state this year August.

I talked to my dad last night and he needs my help, which is my older brother he's trying to go college and go work but he doesnt have a vehicle.
I've been planning to buy Z soon as i get back but I guess i will have to buy it now to help my brother out so he can drive my car until i get back.

Anywayz Here are my questions and corncern about...

I got USAA Bank and i just apply for $35000.00 Auto loan and I got approved for it 5.05% interest rate and $566.24 monthly payment for 72 month

I want 2011 370z Tourning with navigation option for $35000 OTD.
I already shot e-mail to dealers around my local area and only problem i got is will dealer negociate with the price for $35000 as OTD?

Also can you actually negociate the price by e-mail? this isn't my first time because i tried to buy Infinity G37 2 years ago but they wouldn't give me a answer straight by the e-mail.

I am 24 years old and i never had a car...So when my brother goes to the dealership and drive my car away which after i paid off full with auto loan, Does my brother need money to register car or what so ever? well obiously he needs gas money for sure but license plate all that type of stuff.

I really thank you for reading my thread and i will be reading your reply everyday and learn your knowlege until i purchse my Z!!!!!

the TT&L is what registers your car for your state and county that you reside. basically, you pay all of that when you do an "OTD" purchase.

You can always try, but I think you'd be lucky to get the car for 35k + TTL, let alone 35k OTD.

You can negotiate over the phone or e-mail. But, you still need something in writing IM.

I doubt you can negotiate the price in an Email. Emails are not legal documents, and anyway, it's better to talk to them face to face or over the phone.

I've done my research for my area but included in your costs might be:
1. State sales tax (of total purchase price)
2. Registry fees that include Title, License Plates, and Registration (depends on your state, for me it's $400)
3. Doc fee (again, depends on your state, for me it's a minimum $50 fee)
4. Insurance fees (again, depends on your state law)

I'm a little mad at myself since I didn't pay any attention when I co-bought the Sienna, so I didn't see the paperwork and all the numbers put into the final costs.

If I'm lucky, my OTD price will come to about $38,800 with a monthly payment of $480/60 months. LOL
This is for a 2011 base with sports package.

BTW, your user window profile says you're already driving a 370Z? Is that true?

I have USAA as well and they usually will give 2500-3000 off depending on the dealer. The dealer has to have the model you put together if not then they will try to order it but thats what im going through right now and its a pain. But dont forget some states (Tennessee for sure, Florida maybe) waive the sales tax for military...just something to keep in mind.

You can negotiate through email. Thats how I bought my Z. However, they can still **** you over though. The one dealer that I went to b4 I bought my Z denied my email negotiated price. Depends on the dealership i guess.

well its going to be hard to get 370z for dealers, b/c of Japan having hard time due to earthquake and aftershocks. So it is possible that dealers will try to take advantage of shortages for cars that gets shipped over from JP, such as 370z and GTR.

Edit*
also dont trust the edmunds inventory numbers, because in Feb when i was buying, half of the cars that i looked up was sold, and dealers just didnt removed it from their list.

Seems, from the info in the other thread in this section about dealer profits, that your dealership is trying to make $10k profit off that $47k price.
On the Nissan website, it should be around $38k-$40k for your trim level.

I would think that I could get a better price in my area, but I guess not. I'll just have to see what incentives the dealer is willing to give me when I go in later this month.
