2011 Touring/Nav/auto/sport pkg good price??
Well Ive located a car after my car on order seems to be on hold.
I think I have a decent price on my hands for a 2011 touring auto transmission/nav/sport pkg/carpeted mats for $38,300 plus tax and tags. With everything going on in Japan and current pricing here in the US- I would like the forums opinion on the price quote I have been given. Thanks in advance, MAtt |

wow sounds like a great price to me.
best i could do was use the Amex car buying site which listed a price of $39,729. i took that to the dealer this weekend and they were willing, but how are you negotiating so low? (i haven't ordered yet) |

Well its below invoice, So according to what everyone says thats good $1000.00 below basically...I'm saving a bit more to haggle in a few months...but I plan to low ball the dealer to meet in the middle somewhere...the dealer has some room to move down...I was at a dealer last Sat and the dealer jumped out and said $30,000 for the showroom Nismo that they admitted was sitting there for a while ...knowing they were trying to get me excited and start papers..i threw out 30,000 with tax, tags ect ( Im not really looking to spend to get a Nismo so cant hurt ) and Im sure if i was willing to deal..i could have walked out at $35 or $36,000 maybe lower...but the price seems fair to me, I would try to go for $37,000 ...might as well get another dealer involved and work each of them against each other for a lower price..might save you another grand, but if your happy, go for it..still a good deal

This year its a buyers market. Though they aren't talking about it in the news. They are in denial but dealers once again are desperate to sell cars. People are bracing for the next hard recession and not buying. On top of that Z sales dwindle by the year. 2011 buyers will see prices $5000 below msrp. I'm almost sure of it. Its a good year 2 buy a sports car, but a bad year to have to fill one up at a gas station.

I think Im dealing with the "internet" sales guy who sounds like he is 15. So although there is buying leverage if you have the cash- the inventory on the car Id like to buy is quite low. 5k below invoice? I doubt it. |
