Do you think $9.5K off new 2010 NISMO can be done?
Hi,
Playing around with the idea of getting into a 2010 NISMO. With 2011's out and some dealers still having 2010's around, do you think this much of a discount can be done? I know it all depends on how desperate the dealer is and if they are willing to let it go. This will basically be getting a MSRP of $41,340 down to ~$35K OTD (fig +10% for TTLF in CA). Just wondering if this is a "No way in hell!" or "eh, might be doable" scenario. I guess only one way to find out! :p Also, does Nissan ever provide any dealer incentives for the NISMO's like they do for the Roadsters? Thanks. |
Wow, I just think that is a lot.
I read on one thread that most give a big discount around the year end sales to get rid of them. If not, then there isn't much of a discount from invoice with older models. I think you should just wait if you can. I will look around the next year end sale :) |
no, not on a new nismo. a few hundred off invoice is the best you will do. there may be that one freak person on here that says they scored some super deal...... but no. its not a car they just HAVE to move..... someone will buy it for MSRP, let alone invoice

I would agree with fuct. Take if from someone who lives and bought in so-cal, the dealers here aren't in a rush to sell a limited production car(when compared to base/sport/touring),well not this early in the year atleast.Just throwing some numbers at you:
$41,340 + 9.75%(4030.65) + $500(est.)tax & license= $45870.65 You're asking a forum if a dealer would eat over 10 grand in order to sell you a nismo? I would respectfully say no Just keep in mind there are other fees I am sure I missed in the formula above. Maybe if you hold out until the end of the year.Good luck reguardless |
You guys are not comparing the numbers correctly when making some statements... hes talking about off msrp... most definately should not be characterized with the amount below is what the dealer eats.
How much to expect to get below invoice has been covered in other thread. Forum dealers have already said to 3-4k below INVOICE is what you should shoot for on new 2010s. This also jives with last year when i was looking at new 2009 nismos advertised at 33-34k. So thats prob about the range you should expect. If you have a dealer no where in this ballpark they are trying to make a premium off you.. at that point you should go somewhere else or consider a 2011. |
I can see maybe 7K but 9.5 is a push. But you don't know unless you ask.

They should be looking to unload the 09s, definitely try and push as hard as you can and if they don't want to go that low, walk away.

I would almost guarantee you can do it. Are you talking new or used though? You can get a used '10 with 1100 miles for around ~33K + TTLF |
