Read from a previous thread asking the same question that most people that have the sports package found it a nice feature for the first few weeks and then turned it off and haven't actually turned it back on again. I'd say it is probably 80/20 percentage wise on who has it off and who has it on. It is the other parts of the sports package people really want.

IMHO...... Touring is a 7k package that offers thing you can get for $1500!!! SPORTS package gets WHEELS, BRAKES, and a sports wing!!!! Plus the LOVED shift SYNC!!!!! If you have to choose between to get SPORTS package.... If you got to get a Audio upgrade... buy it at your local Audio store!! Better stuff... and the leather upgrade is MINIMAL!!! It is ALL what YOU LIKE!!! I would NEVER trade the brakes, WHEELS, and WING for 25% leather and a stereo system!!!!!!!

![]() ![]() Although I do agree with your last statement - if you can only afford one of the two, get the sports package. And IMHO, the Nav option at $2K is way overpriced (and you lose the multi-CD changer, IIRC). I chose to get the Sport and Touring packages without the Nav. I regret nothing with my touring sports package, purchase. The heated seats were the best, driving around Christmas morning. The powered portion of the seat, easily allows me to adjust the seat, so as to look out the right side port hole window each time a passenger readjusts the seat.
As for sync rev mode and 80% don't use it, It sounds like something some body pulled out of their arse, when somebody pulled out of theirs. ![]()

i agree, it depends on the plans you have for the car. OP, do you plan to make mods that will render the sport upgrades moot?
i went with base + sport because i knew i wouldn't be doing any significant mods until after warranty. having the brakes, rays 19 inch wheels and diff. straight from factory made more sense for me. on the other hand, i knew i'd be upgrading the audio first, so i didn't want to spring for bose/nav. it'd be nice to have leather seats, but as some folks have said, there isn't as much leather there as i would have expected. so for me, touring option wasn't worth the money. i do plan to install some sport pedals when i get the chance. good luck! |

I went with Base + Sport because I can really live without the leather, although it would be nice. I'm in the process of building my audio system right now and the Bose would have made it harder.
Other than that... those were the main things that made me go with the sport only. I love it! |

40th came with touring/sport and I wouldn't have chosen otherwise.
Love the SRM feature and waking people up at stop light when I down shift. Love the power leather seats. Love the Bose since I don't want an aftermarket audio system that lets the whole neighborhood know that I have subs. |

I really like the touring features. The rear diff is the only thing I really crave about the sports package.
