Need a new Z, Dealers can you help me?
Alright gentleman,
Despite winter tires and prudent driving, my treasured Z took the brunt of an unpleasant collision compliments of Old Man Winter and his partner Black Ice. I'm getting rid of it. (VDC was on so don't even get started on that) I'd like to find a Platinum Graphite 6MT Sport/Touring with or without Nav. I'll take a black interior if need be but would prefer Persimmon. Any chance you guys can help me find one?

Sorry to hear that you lost the argument with Old Man Winter. He's sneaky with that black ice. Been there, done that.

Thanks guys. I'm rolling around the choices of 1) just get her fixed and just keep her, 2) get her fixed and then sell her, or 3) sell her as-is and then collect the insurance payment and move on. Moving on is either a new Z or something sexy that's used.

That sucks, man. Glad it would seem that you are ok, though.
I remember a post of yours before asking about upgrading to something like an R8/911/etc. I know you've had your Z for some time and have been able to enjoy it on track, so I feel like it'd be better for you to collect the insurance payout and move on to a new challenge. Whether it's a used 911 or maybe a Lotus Exige, there's a lot out of good stuff out there for you to try. Think about it.

this makes me not want to get my winter tires on and drive in winter. based on your experience in the accident, you thikn this would have happened in any car, and wasn't impacted by RWD?

Black ice does not discriminate based on tire compound or drivetrain type.

based on what i've seen of spearfish's posts, i know he's an experienced driver on the track and is a responsible driver on the street, so its scary to see something like this happen |
