Default Brand new 2009 Z still at the dealership

I just test drove a 2009 370Z at Sutherlin Nissan in Fort Myers Florida a couple days ago. The salesman said they were desperate to sell it, as they were paying taxes on it.

As much as I would've liked to have stepped inside and talk some numbers, I was not and am not ready to buy and will not be for another year, maybe 2.

The test drive was nice and I finally got to feel what it's like to drive one of these beautiful automobiles...although I had a few doubts here and there.

First, if the dealership has had this car for more than a year (or so), I can only imagine how many people have taken it out and beaten on it. The trip said 600+ miles, if I was reading it correctly and at the time I didnt know how to switch to the odo (I do now, gotta love that owner's manual link!). So I might have been looking at the odo. Doesn't matter, because I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a brand new car with that many miles on it.

On the other hand...what do you folks think the dealership would let that car go for?

I bought my 2009 last January and it had ~300 miles on it. I had the same concerns as you did and I figured it got it's fair share of test drives. But I got over that pretty quickly and the Z has been great. I got a good deal and you should get an even better deal on a 2009 now... Don't let that stop you from getting one, in fact, that is the only way to go unless you got $ to burn. (I don't)

It was fairly loaded, to believe the salesguy, the only thing missing that I could see was the Nav system, which was just fine by me.

Ask him to "Make an offer you can't refuse! I did the same thing for my 2009 Z in 2010...They gave me $10,000 on trade for my 2007 Altima with over 90K miles.

stick to your guns man, i'm in the same boat as you trying to get rid of a POS chevy cobalt that i still owe a little over $10k on, but then again i'm paying a crap load extra to get out from it faster every month just so i can get my Z come next fall. Who knows, if you wait for next year they make some minor revisions to the design like they do every 3 or 4 years to all their models and it may be something you like better than the current Z's design as sexy as it already is

Go down to Marazzi. They have 4 touring+sport 2009's. Both blues are manual 6spd with black leather and the two reds are automatics with NAV, one black leather and one tan. The stickers on these are like $39k and they are almost giving these things away! Trust me, I bought the 2010 40th Anniversary from them last weekend and they were trying their hardest to get me in the leftover 2009's, but I'm not a fan of blue and the reds are automatic. Also, if you're worried about financing, Nissan is the easiest way to get it.

Go jump on the 2009's. One of the blue ones comes with free tint. It had 360miles on it when I drove it

They are really giving great prices on these. Cheaper than a 2010 base model in fact...

Hey Footloose, when did you notice those red 2009 automatics?

I'm on the other coast of Florida nearly a hundred miles away but my dad lives just down the street from the John Marazzi dealership. A couple months ago I asked him to see if the red automatics were still there but he told me that the dealerships told him that they only had the blue 09 manuals. If the red automatics are still there, do you know what price they are asking for them?

They were both there 2 weeks ago when I bought my 40th. I dont remember how much they wanted because I didn't pay attention to the autos. As of two weeks ago all four 2009's were on their website.

Made an offer on one of the 09's two days ago. Said they would call me back but never did, I guess they either sold them or they aren't really willing to deal much.
