I wont own another auto, that me though, I dont like a computer to be in control of where i am in terms of gears...if i need to hang on to a gear a bit longer i can with a manual.

You know the 7AT won't shift in manual mode even if your bouncing off the rev limiter, just like the 6MT, right?
It does shift down as you slow, however.

well look at it this way, just so that everyone can be happy =]
the auto;designed for enthusiasts and the manual; designed for perfectionists ACCORDING TO THE BROCHURE why do I feel like it should be the other way around? |

IMO it's dumb not to get this car in stick to take advantage of the synchro rev match. I live in Miami with terrible traffic and don't regret 6mt one bit and it's my first manual car. I test drove both and was way happier with the 6mt. I don't think the auto makes the Z less of a sports car but I do believe it makes it a little less fun.

i came from one of the best shifting manuals in the world. the s2000. when i first was going to look at a local 370z for the first time i knew it was an auto, and was thinking to my self that there is no way im going to get the auto. that is until i test drove it.
this is no ordinary auto. the best thing you can do is go for a test drive on some curvy roads and then decide. btw i bought that auto 370z the next morning one last thing.... MAGNESIUM PADDLE SHIFTERS...=YUMMY Last edited by jetguy; 10-17-2010 at 10:12 AM. |

I was agreeing with Ztoon's comment. I have owned manuals all my life as well and I wouldn't trade my 7at.

I know the steps to it and everything but you can never really know you can do it unless you do it. I mean you can ask friends to drive their manual, but you think they really want you to f*** up their clutch? |
