2011's in a month?
I talked to whoever responds on Nissan's Twitter account (@NissanNews) and they told me that dealers should begin receiving 2011 Z's on October 21st (coincidentally the same day my G37 lease ends). Anyone else have any info on this? It sounded like most others were saying not until December or so.
Also, does anyone have info on the residual values and money factor? I know it will change next month and even more so with the model year change. Thanks. |

If you looked at Nissan news website and read charting the changes you would know it sells in oct.

You could probably score a better price on a 2010 once the 2011's come out.

Sounds a bit early to me. Perhaps you mean you can order a 2011 starting in October. You could not have gotten a 2010 in your hands until around March of 2010 if I'm not mistaken.

I'm still trying to understand why people lease cars when they have money to spend...
I could understand leasing if ya couldn't afford the $300 per month to buy a (for example) a honda fit and you paid $200 per month to lease... but not with a much more expensive car. At least with buying a car, when all is said and done, you have something, in-hand, to show for it... Is it the boredom factor? Automobile longevity? I'm not trying to criticize the OP. It's just something that makes me wonder... |

Also, I would NEVER want to have a car like this out of warranty. |

Yeah, and that's one option I'm used to on my G37 Coupe... kind of crazy it took Nissan 3 more years to add it to the Z. If getting a 2011 takes too long, that's fine... but if I have to wait a few weeks and keep my 37 for those weeks for "free" (already paid all payments) then I definitely will.

I honestly don't believe that. Maybe a few week difference.. but a HALF YEAR difference from CA to NJ? Give me a break. |

If you want to be economical, yeah.. leasing is not the best. If you plan on keeping a car for a 5-10 years, then obviously you want to buy it. But if you're looking to have a new car every few years, then buying a car is a bad choice. Just like buying a house is NOT always the best choice... depends on your needs... people need to think more for themselves and stop being so brainwashed. |
