Looking to get a Z... none available?
Hey guys... I've always had Nissans and Infinitis. I had a 2002 Maxima 6-speed, then a 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6-speed and now a 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe 6-speed.
I always lease. My G37, I only leased for a 2 years, which ended in July. I did a 3 month extension, which ends in a month. Had all but made my mind up on the Z... stopped to look at some today and was told there are none. There were 3 roadsters, that's it. He said 2011s would be in, in about 3 months. Is this true every where? |

It could be, i know when i got mine shortly after there was a lul in selection from the dealer i purchased at. was told its because there are no factories in American that build the Z they are all shipped. So im guessing that might explain the 3 months wait on the 2011's

That's such a poor excuse from them... all of my G's were always built in Japan... they were available. Just doesn't make since from Nissan's standpoint. They'll miss out on MONTHS of sales. The majority of people won't wait months.. if they need a car, they need a car.
I guess I'll call Nissan on Monday and see what the deal is. Maybe they'll let me keep my G while I wait? |

yeah im thinking the same. I know the week before i purchased mine they had some 20 Z's on the lot and were offering 4k off sticker and they went pretty quick. when i went back was only 5. i purchased mine and thats when they told me about no factories in US but they told me they would have 10's in like a month ina half. Im thinking your dealer may have just sold inventory faster than expected so the expected wait is longer. I read last year Nissan cut z production like 60% i believe, so that might explain the longer wait this year.

I found a couple of 40th Anniversary near you, and Classic Cars Nissan in Hainsport, NJ has a NISMO (Red) and a black Touring on the lot.
C.R. Loughead in Swarthmore, PA also has a 40th and a black cherry Touring w/ Sport. Colonial Nissan in Feasterville, PA has a silver Touring w/ Sport. Conicelli Nissan in Consoshocken, PA also has two black Touring w/ Sport. O'Niell Nissan in Warminster, PA has a black cherry Touring w/ Sport. All of these dealerships are within 20 miles of Collingswood, NJ.

Saving up now for a NISMO 40th Anniversary. Hopefully. Maybe. We'll see. Definitely a Z though. |

I appreciate it, thanks. Sounds like I don't have many options. I guess I just have to start calling dealerships. Bad thing is... since there's so little stock.. it's gonna be hard to get a good price. I really wanted a 2011, since it has the backup camera that my 2008 G has... never thought I'd really want one, but I'm def used to mine. I also need to find residuals and money factors to see how these things lease. I know it's nowhere near as good as the G37 leases... but it'd be crazy to have to pay MORE for a car that is $5,000 less. |
