quick question
I bought a 2010 nismo Z with 1600 miles on it and traded in my 40th anniversary and I know how dealerships roll people out in cars without full funding, but I asked numerous people at dealership, including the GM and I said I'm going to get a supercharger put on and want to be sure its fully funded and they said my deal was done electronically and its fully funded so go ahead and modify the car anyway I want...would you guys not worry about them asking me to return the car because of funding since that's what their saying? Their saying its 101% done and I would think if it was actually funded, they wouldn't give me the ok to mod the car and its been 4 days since I bought the car...am I stressing over nothing? My moms credit is over 750 and no stips were needed.

You got too much money. Trading in a 40th Z for a Nismo? But, on topic, talk is cheap. I say wait it out a month or two and see if the car is fully funded. Once everything is in the clear, then supercharge the Nismo however you feel.

they said the same **** to my sister in law and 3 days later she got a call "Hey! Great news! we couldnt get you that 4.8% you wanted but we fought to get you a 8% interest rate!"
needless to say, she has 1.9% interest now  big mistake doing that after delivery of car on their part! |

"talk is cheap"...remember your talking to a stealership they'll say anything to get your money!...get it in writing, if not then I suggest you wait until your 100% funded - even then if your making payments, the finance company owns your car
don't forget adding things to your car could void your warranty...the dealership doesn't give anyone the okay to mod unless it's oem parts(even performance parts) that they sell & install. |

To each is own wouldn't have made that deal.................
anyway better wait for some kind of paper work from loaner... dealer told me the same thing once i had the car for 2 weeks had put 800 miles on the car plus they had already sold my trade in. when company calls and says if i can't prove income with w4s and a bunch of other crap they won't approve the deal........wtf. |

They never asked for proof of income or any stips on 40th anniversary and that was funded, so they didn't require it on this deal either and btw I'm making the payments myself. Also they did everything through fax so it got funded right away and I have text messages from salesman saying go ahead and mod it up its 100% funded and even the gm, finance manager, etc said its fully funded. Also the deal was already signed (contract and all) before they told me its fully funded..so they weren't saying it to make the deal, since deal was done...why would gm and everyone tell me to change the rims or supercharger it, because its funded and my car...they wouldn't want me doing that if there was a chance of a unwind...right?

Whats the rush? Wait till you have made the first payment. At least then you know for sure. You are apparently worried about it so just sit on the deal for a month. No harm, no foul and you won't have another horror story to add to this forum. Dealers come back to the purchaser all the time when for some reason something that was a "sure thing" all of a sudden isn't.
