Honestly, don't even talk to them about the 40th unless they are going to drastically reduce the price. Most likely the car is going to have issues in the future whether it be chipping paint, weak spots in the sheet metal, etc. It is worth the drive to go get the car you want in the condition you want it.
Good luck! Its a stressful process but all worth it in the end.
