put down down payment. dealer fill out a retail buyers order. have not signed papers to finace. car has been delivered and taged and registered. can i still try and get a better price before i sign the big papers are is it to late negociate.

Not really. They have you at this point unless you are willing to throw away your deposit. If your deposit was small then you might be able to negotiate based on that premise.

Ya you're pretty much done on the negotiations

So you've signed everything except financing? Doubtful you can negotiate a lower price...

For my car, our finance guy snafu'd on the financing paperwork and we received a letter telling us to return the car ASAP since Nissan couldn't secure funding. So I'm sure there's a clause there that allows you to drive off the lot w/o financing set; if there's a problem, you need to return it and straighten it out.

Since it was the finance guy that screwed up twice, he paid for a tank of premium gas in the Murano the second time we drove up (45 min). If there's a third time, I'm gonna ask to test drive a GT-R. :icon17:

I'd NEVER drive a car off the lot without secured financing.

EVER.

But, to each their own. :ugh2:

I had a buyer quote paperwork when i walk out. I was going to put a large down payment down and i wanted to shop around for my own fianice. I got a 3.0 from b.o.a. But when i returned nissan found me a rate at b.t.t. For 2.65. I think i did alright considering iam in virginia. What you think?

Seems expensive to me. But as long as you are happy with the car is all that matters.

ChrisSlicks 09-07-2010 10:44 AM

What is the car sale price minus tax and registration?

tags, title, reg. taxs, all assc. where included in the price of 46000. i guess taxs where about 1400-1600. this make the deal a little better. i search sources about a year before i made this buy. shop a lot of car lots here in va.

FuszNissan 09-08-2010 10:17 AM

It's not a bad deal, you did good. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Enjoy the car!

wilsonp 09-08-2010 06:00 PM

Virginia car tax is 3%, that seems a little high for the total, but not enough to matter in the long run. Better to enjoy the car.
