You can actually have the check mailed to your house the next day via Fedex. Then, just take the check to your dealership when you purchase the car. The check has blank spaces for dealer to fill out. They fill the info out, you sign the back of the check and that's it! You drive away in your new Z.

Thank you so much for the tips.

Just wondering, but how long is the 3.99% offer good for? If I pay $20 now to become a member, can I tell them when I want my check, say in a year or two?

Thumbs down Tony Montana is the sh** nd there will always have to be a bad guy

Alright guys this mind seem like just an angry salesman talking, but let me give it to you guys straight.

How much does the average buyer of a 370z make an hour $15-30 bucks?

Ok now lets break it down to what Mr. Got a great F*in deal actually spent to get this great deal of his,.....

1st--- Invoice price.... on the computer for making that fancy letter and sending all the emails ----1 hour

2nd--- read all 8 different dealer websites looking for the sales manager name to email the offer ---to 2hrs

3rd--- Driving 150miles to and back from carmax doing the speedlimit
----2.5hrs
4th 3days of waiting for all emails ----72hrs

5th appraisal at carmax 1hr

6th gas to and from $25 bucks

7th application fee for credit union $20 bucks

8th and 9th application to nissan and local bank for rates -----1.5hrs

sum it all up you spend so far $45 dollars + 80hrs of your time and lets not count it + 2hrs to pick up your car at the dealer = 82hrs of work +$45 expenses.

avarege buyer makes $20per hour = 1600+ $45 = $1645 actual spent time you just wasted when you could have walked in to a dealer asked to see the invoice given an offers lets say 100 over invoice

Even if you had to stick it out with the 5.74% rate instead of the 3.99% rate how much more money did you save by doing your homework?

If you would finance the car for 60month and make every single payment you would end up paying $1540 in interest + 100 over invoice that you agreed to dealer making your total financing purchase $35,000.00
You spent $1640 which is 5 dollars less than if you would have done all your work... and if you make extra payments it could be even less interest paid and save you the time and hassle of doing all of this.

Now call the dealers do it your way... but on this one this guy got

What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of f***n' a**holes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your f****n' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. This is the last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way! "Tony Montana"

Dont hate the player hate the game if you can't handle the truth....

You'll be happy to know that I have friends in the industry, and that my wife and I paid a fair price although we could have gone lower. Why? I used to be a total grinder, and it always paid off in the immediate, but never in the long-run. When issues such as warranty on large ticket items are reviewed by corporate (which they are) all factors are taken into consideration, being fair in the purchase price can really payoff in when it comes to warranty time. I support the dealer network as we still need them to buy a car, and to warranty a car. Hey, but that's just me...to each their own.

I think it is all relative really. Many people are ordering their cars, so the "wait time" can be used to get your old car appraised, get loans setup, etc. Most dealers I have talked to have been a flat number and are either going to give me that or not, if not (which is a fair number) then I can go somewhere else.

Time spent is always a relative value you cannot put towards actual pay. I could say the same thing about me helping friends and family (plus others who pay me) when I do computer repairs. Instead of making 10 dollars an hour, I could go to my office and make more, but I feel the time is an investment in a different manner than a monetary gain.

hey I am just glad that you didnt just waste all that time doing this rocket science research to buy a car... I sell cars and i m totally for saving money when it comes to buying a new car.. but come on... blowing what you can save on research thats just as ridiculous as a sales person getting angry at a customer because the customer did his homework...

interest is based on the prime rate... you can only keep it for 2 weeks to a month tops.. due to prime goes up and down depending on the stock market

so to answer your question no...

But how is blowing what we saved, wasted because of research?
You also have to think of the economic times we are in, people are pushing their pennies farther, time spent on saving money is now weighted more than before where the first "good deal" was the final deal.

GTR-Man, I am just sharing my story with the forum. No one needs to follow the method. You are more than welcome to believe w/e you like or share your story. BTW, I do not understand how you've calculated my "days off" hours vs money because I don't get paid for relaxing on my days off. If I didn't do those things(i.e research or writing letters), I'd probably sleep or play rockband. Please feel free to pm me if you have anything against me (personally) or the way I have achieved my invoice price. Thanks

Well, I particularly like the research. I do this on my spare time anyways, so if anything, if i wasnt shopping around for a car or doing research on it, I would just be playing games or out paintballing with the guys.

To me, its just part of the fun. I like shopping around, then buying the car, then modifying it to my liking. Kind of like when you want to buy a house (I did the same thing with that too). I did give the dealer a fair profit on the car, I just spent a little more time doing my homework before I ordered my car. Yeah, I spent hours calling and visiting a few dealers in my area, but this was also my first time buying a new car.

Dreamer is right. You cant just quantify it in terms of money.

And while you might be a great dealer to work with, I ran into A LOT of salesmen who got mad at me because I 'did my homework.' I ended up going with another dealer even though it cost me a little more just because the one who offered me the best deal had an A-hole manager, and I just didnt want to deal with someone like that if I had problems with my purchase, so customer service does matter to me too.

The whole intent of this thread was a demonstration of AK's enthusiasm while trying to get others into a Z too. Obviously, he has a good relationship with the dealership as shown in his photographs since he too is helping out the dealership.

See this is the downside to having dealers troll internet forums. Especially for those of us that will be visiting these dealers. I plan on running my whole game plan by you guys before going to a dealer, and the closest/best one to me happens to be our sponsoring dealer. If he reads my thread, hes going to have me all mapped out before I come in! (hehe)
