Am I missing something?
I went to Edmonds.com to get their TVM (True Market Value) for a 370Z with all options except the Nav.......in the Atlanta market and they say that the TVM is The Same exact price that equals the MSRP $39,435. Does that mean that in Atlanta that all Zs are selling for MSRP ?

Same thing for Houston, it is probably to early really to get accurate numbers.

Found the same to be true in mid-January when I was doing research prior to buying mine.

I just got an email from a dealer in Atlanta that says.....
Gary, the invoice itemizes as such: Base invoice: 31919 mats: 89 (invoice) illuminated kick plate: 148 splash guards: 165 sport pack: 2602 carpeted trunk mat: 65 freight charge (from nissan): 695 total itemized dealer invoice amount: 35683 It wil sell it for the invoic amount plus applicable sales tax, title, and dealer handling fees. Please let me know.--Lee This quote was for a Touring 6MT That is Invoice Price the way I figure it.... |
Yep those numbers look great!

Hey, looks good and also I live in atlanta so, can I ask you what dealer is that and
who was it? |
Dont buy that "TMV" **** - its just a guess on Edmund's part. Its reflective of nothing, really - especially effective haggling skills.

TVM was a fat finger - meant TMV. TMV = True Market Value, or, what Edmunds says is a "fair price" to pay for your local area. For instance, the MSRP of a 1LT Silverado might say...oh, 30K. But in actuality, you can get that for probably $25K or less fairly easily, so the TMV would say that. In this case, Edmunds is saying that the fair price to pay for the 370 is MSRP. To which I say, "hah". The market is in the buyers favor, kids. A dealership's going to want to push a car out the door and make SOME profit. And right now the sad truth is, the 370 is just NOT exclusive enough to warrant ANY kind of "dealer markup", or even paying MSRP for it. Its a luxury car, and with the way the market is, "luxury" isn't a word everyone can say anymore. |
