$695 Freight Charge

Is the $695 freight charge a legitimate charge that Nissan charges their dealers? Is it marked up? I have received several itemized quotes around invoice.......some have the charge and a few don't.

^^ the ones who didnt charge it, was it already included in the price of the car??

all dealerships usually charge this fee

Nope - not that I can see. All quotes are referencing actual invoice numbers.

that's good for you then...... save some money

I thought all dealers charge it. some add it on and some include it in the asking price

there's going to be more fees though, like A/C tax, tire tax, i dunno about gas guzzler tax

semtex 02-25-2009 02:29 PM

It's legit. $695 is the standard amount.

msl82 02-25-2009 03:09 PM

Yes, its legit. I was also skeptical first, but then I found out that it is valid charge.

nogoodname 02-25-2009 03:10 PM

so this fee has been resolved, whats the next fee??

AK370Z 02-25-2009 03:36 PM

Legit. Invoice price DO NOT include destination.

^^ i was just saying, for the ones who didnt write it on

was it already included in the MSRP, like already added on

Ones that didn't write it on the price, most likely will add it at the last second. So, one must ask the dealer if their price includes destination or not. Most prices on "Auto trader" says "doesn't include destination" at the bottom.

When I bought mine monday it had the 695 on the sticker so when you negotiate the sticker price down and make the deal make sure he doesn't try to throw that number back on there when adding tax+title. Many salesman do this to get that 700 on the back end all for themselves after negotiating the sticker. Just a heads up!
