Looking to but a 370z
 

Hey guys my name is chris and im looking to buy a 370z this week. drove a bunch of cars including the new camaro and have decided that the 370z is prob the best buy out of alot of cars right now..

My question is im looking for a white, 6 speed, hardtop, leather interior. now i really want the limted slip rear but that only comes wit the sport package, i believe. now is their anyway to get the limited slip in a base model w/o the sport package? the only reason is bc i was told that they can only do leather in the touring model but then he said he could do that.

ive on only been looking into the car for about a week now and i dont know much about the 370. any help would be greatly appriciated.

also how much are you guys getting a base model w the sport package for? i got a quick price of about 27-28k for a base model w leather.

you can get touring with sport, no problem.

27-28k is REALLY low, even for a completely base model, though I've had mine for over a year now so things may have changed. I paid under invoice for my base+sport at 31k

i have a little booklet they gave me with all the options im just curious on prices and if u can put the limted slip in a base model. i dont think they can do that but its worth a shot :tup:

I think you would end up with the sport package if you want LSD from the dealer. Otherwise, you might pickup a used LSD here on the forum from someone who upgraded.

You can always put in your own LSD.. Will be a better part than the Viscous that comes on the sport package.. Carbonetic carbon is around $1300 + install. And from what i read it should be a simple drop in.

base doesn't come with leather like you said.. It might be aftermarket which means fit, finish and quality will vary. Either that or they swapped the seats from a touring. Verify before you buy. As to which package to chose, touring is obviously nicer in terms of amenities, but the sports package packs a ton of upgrades at a reasonably low price. The wheels, brakes and LSD purchased alone cover the cost. Throw in the syncrorev, LSD and aero package and its almost a no brainer. Probably my only regret when purchasing.

1300?? that seems really exspensive. I had a sad lose of a 95 firebird 6speed that put about ~340 to the wheels with a .060 bore and mild heads. car burnt down bc a fuel gauge on my fuel rail decided to burst. I know muscle cars are cheaper but thats crazy. i could buy a posi for 600 and i thought that was alot.

true. maybe im just better off getting the sport package. seems like it would be worth it in the end.

yea salesman said that he "thinks" they take the covers off and put new ones on. he wasnt sure himself

Yes the carbonetic carbon LSD is expensive for obvious reasons... I only mentioned it due to its great reviews thus far. There are cheaper solutions that will satisfy your average drivers needs, and still be a better unit than the stock LSD.

where can i find lsd? i cant find anyplace.

so ive called 5 dealers and only 1 dealer had what i was looking for. found a 40th ann but i dont want to pay that much... wish i didnt want a manual or i could be getting some awesome deals on auto's. found a bunch of auto 09 left overs. anyone on long island that wants to drive to smithtown or riverhead they have a bunch of 09 left overs.. ill give an update tn tor tomorrow morning. wish me luck!!

Went to the dealer yesterday and had a horrible experiance. Found an 09 6 speed base model. Sticker was 30. Talked the guy down to 26750 before tax and fees. Told him I had 6,000 to put down. Talk to his finance guy and his manager and says you have yourself a deal. Give him my down payment. Then he comes back and tells me he's waiting on his finance guy. I thought I got approved already. So turns out only 1 or two banks call him back and say I need a cosigner. It 8pm at this point I got there at 7. Then I tell them if I don't get approved I want my sown payment back. They tell me that it's in the safe and the person that has the key won't be back till the morning so they can't get my money. To make a veryyy long story short, last night I left with no money and no car. An td I'll have to go back down there and either pick up the car or my money. So today will tell all. Wish me luck

Make sure the finance guy doesn't add anything you haven't already discussed. They love adding stuff on when all you are thinking about is driving the car home. It's usually the finance guy that tries to bring the price back up to sticker or invoice. Good luck.

So didn't get a car today. Had a bad experience for the second time at the same dealer. Sat down with another guy. Asked him to see the used 370z they told me they have bc I was approved for less money so I had to go used. Then they tell me they don't have any. Then that they have an 08. I told the guy that I didn't want that I wanted a 370. She they guy tells me to buy that wait a year and buy a new 370 after that. I told the guy I work to hard to settle for what I want and that I will get a 370. So he goes on to tell me that I will never get one. Sooo they said they couldn't help me and I got my down payment back. And the guy tried to convince me one more time to get the 08 and I told him that I'll have a 370 within the week to watch and see.... I planned on buying a new one bc I got a cosigner but since everyone was being jerks I decided to take my business elsewhere. So I'm waiting for another dealer that I talk to td to get back to me withthe car that "I" want. This guy is very down to earth and would is telling me he would rather put me in a car I want next week rather then forcing me to buy what he wants. So tm he will give me a list of white base model 6 speeds with a sport package and then take it from there

So all and all I'm having a horrible time, so far, trying to buy my first car. This salesman I'm talking to now is alot better and is looking for what I want not making me chose from what he has.

Never be afraid to walk away from a deal. Good on you. Don't get sold into what you don't want. It's not like the salesman has to look at that thing and make payments on it for the next year(s).

thanks for the link def helped me out. im still gona go through with the deal (givin i find the one i want.. again) ive been number crumching since i thought about buying a car and have came up with a round about number that i know i could afford and still have money to either go out and/or mod the car. dont think any heavy mods are to come. most likely going to put rims and time, maybe an exhaust.

The reason im buying a new car is im tired of driving around beaters. granted ive have some nice beaters (340rwhp firebird :happydance: ) haha. but ive been working my but off since i was 13 yrs old and ive always had nothing to show bc i blew my money on stupid things. ive finally realized i should stop throwing money at stupid things and put it towards something i could enjoy and not have to worry everyy dayy aobut breaking down. the insurance and payment is wayyy less then what i blow a month on stupid ****. just so u guys know im not just some kid that randomly decided that oo i want a 370z. granted i am a kid at 21 haha. but im in an extremly stable job making very good money for my age.

It's just something to think about so you don't screw yourself over trying to catch up on payments. I'm not trying to change your mind or anything, just realize that the first thing the finance guy sees isn't a responsible 21 year old. I really hope you get the car you want. A vlsd out of a g37s or 370z can he had for around 600-900

I actualy have svtracer's (rip) in my car.. found it on ebay for 725 shipped

I went to another dealer yesterday and worked out a deal on a 2010 bade model with the sport package, white with a 6 speed and got him down to 32,700. Comes with floor mats and little things like that. Thought it was an ok price. So Noe I'm waiting on the finance guy to give me an intrest rate and take it from there. Had my grandfather cosign. If all goes well should have the car late next week.

just called the salsman i was dealing with and no wayyy he decide to quit his job today and now i have to deal with another guy.. this is by far the most redic car buying experiance i have ever seen in my life. all i can do is laugh at this point because its just becoming to funny. haha. people at work must think im crazy

Jeeez, you're got no luck on this one.

I found mine and wasn't even planning on buying a car that day, ended up driving it home like 2hrs later. $26k for an 09 Touring+Sport with 11k miles.

In all honesty you probably dont want to deal with any Long Island Nissan dealerships unless its Koeppel in Queens. Hes put alot of forum members in their Zs for great deals. I personally drove out to Pennsylvania to get my 09 Base w/ Sport because there are essentially none left in the area and I could smell LI dealer ******** before I got sucked in too far. Be patient - Im only 22 and this was my first new car also.
