Exclamation Getting close....

Last week I finally decided on a 370Z...This week I finally decided on the specs I would like - 2009, monterey Blue, 6-spd manual, sport or navi (I'd like to get both but for one I can't find one local with both and for two I can't afford both). So now I've finally completed my inventory searches and found the three models that best matched my description, I've emailed, then followed with a phone call and received the prices below. What do you think?

1.) 370Z™ Touring with Sport Package 6-Speed Manual
Monterey Blue w/ Gray Leather interior
Accessories - Splash Guards, Carpeted Floor Mats, Illuminated Kick Plates , Carpeted Trunk Mat
VIN: JN1AZ44E19M410323
Total MSRP:$38,810.00
Invoice (according to the forum’s sticky) - $34,988
Offer - $31,400 (does not include destination fee, 6% sales tax, and tags)

2.) 370Z™ Touring with Sport Package 6-Speed Manual
Monterey Blue w/ Gray Leather interior
Accessories - Splash Guards, Carpeted Floor Mats, Carpeted Trunk Mat
VIN: JN1AZ44EX9M405797
Total MSRP: $38,585.00
Invoice (according to the forum’s sticky) - $34,840
Offer - $32,810 (price does not include 6% sales tax, and tags destination fee wasn’t mentioned either way)

3.) 370Z™ Touring with Navigation Package 6-Speed Manual
Monterey Blue w/ Gray Leather interior
Accessories - Splash Guards, Carpeted Floor Mats
Total MSRP: $37,365.00
VIN: JN1AZ44E59M403309
Invoice (according to the forum’s sticky) - $33,788
Offer - $31,029 (price does not include 6% sales tax, and tags destination fee wasn’t mentioned either way)

Anyway what do you all think of the offers? I'd really like to get to $32,000 OTD, is this unrealistic or should I keep pushing? Also I really wanted the nissan hard drive navi system with 7" VGA touch screen monitor but also wanted the sports package. Since I can't get both I was thinking it would be best to get the sport package and just add a GPS w/ monitor. What do you think?

I plan on putting down 12K and will be using NFCU and getting a 3.99% APR to finance the remainder. However after reading the forum I found that after closing the financing department tries to get you to add alot of options. Do you think any of them, such as gap insurance or an extended warranty are worth it? And if so at what price?

Thanks for all your help, you guys definitely made me sound a lot more intelligent and confident walking into the dealership today

Option #1 seems like a no-brainer. It's essentially the same as #2, but with illuminated kick, and it's cheaper? Seems good. Anyway, option #3 doesn't have the sport package, so I wouldn't get it. To me, no sport is a deal breaker, ladies!!

I'm assuming these are all 2009's. All that BS they try to push on you at closing is par for any dealership. I don't buy any of it. It's extremely obvious that the guy writing up all the paperwork gets a kick-back off of it. I have gap with my regular car insurance (metlife) and that extended warranty is always an option at a later date. Why pay interest on it?

Good luck!

Its 1 or 3 buddy, comes down to what you value more - the sport package or the navi package. That said, both are pretty good deals, you might be able to talk them down a little more once youre there in person.

In my opinion, and its been said before, sport package over navi. You can always get your own unit that will likely be better than the stock navi.

Ask for an Out the door price, it will make your comparison, a whole lot easier, that way if they sneak in any fees you'll catch it.

Like mentioned before me its either 1 or 3, Sport or Nav, respectively.

Wow ... try and find a 6spd base + sport... touring without nav is pretty useless...

Unless he just wants heated leather seats, "bose" audio w/ 6 disc changer, and auto dimming mirrors??

I'm curious why you feel this way. It seems the Touring has a lot more to offer. I'm not impressed with the NAV, starting with the price. I'm about to start negotiations on a 2009 MT, Touring and Sports, no NAV.

Some people get lost. I think it might just be the same select group that won't consider an aftermarket nav unit that are ALWAYS better than stock units.

Nav is dumb. Over 1k for an underwhelming unit. Base+Sport... 31k OTD!!! Make it happen.

Ok update - I've been working with the dealer on option 1... The car has 697 miles and the dealers offer is 33,400 otd... Should I take it or can I get the cost lowered more... Md has a sales tax of 6% which is included on the cost

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. @33.4k, your offer of 31.4k in the first post is nearly beat. What's wrong with that? After license and doc... you're near or under 31k. At least here in Cali you would be... we get flogged by DMV with regi fees.
