Haven't gotten a price increase (from GEICO). September is the next 6-month period.

When I got the insurance, my yearly cost went down about $300 per year from my old car, RSX Type 6 (2006). Hard to believe but

Why are people comparing INS rates? You understand there's like 3463463497 variables that go into creating an individual policy right? Just to name a few they take into account your credit rating, rather you rent or own, driving record, criminal record, zip code, male or female, etc, etc. So unless you know every single variable your INS company takes into account and take note it’s pointless to make comparisons.

Maybe because the OP asked this.

i pay 1376 for 6 months. i'm 22. i'm listed as the primary driver of the 370z and the car is on my parents policy. Just food for thought, when i was setting up the insurance on the car, i was kidding around with the woman from geico and i said 'if this were my mom's car, what would it cost for 6 mo. she looked it up and said 716. for my dad it would be 920. So there you can see the age/gender factor at play.

and i have a clean record btw

Whether I pay $2000 or $200 every 6 months, it'll mean absolutely nothing to the OP except to satisfy curiosity.

I think that's exactly point. In my usual fashion, i will make a completely ridiculous analogy. If someone has cancer, they want to know what the survival rate is for that type of cancer, even though it will have no impact on whether or not they survive, just so they know what they are dealing with. i'm pretty sure this is just to satisfy curiosity, and i dont think its a bad thing.

Also, if you read my original post Geico told me that the company that they rely on (and I assume other ins. companies also) to estimate repair costs changed the rating of the
370Z. I was trying to determine how true this was as many people should be effected by a change of this type regardless what they are paying now. I think people are interested in this information. For instance if jetblue had said his mother was the primary driver he would be paying much less.

geico just spends top dollar on repair costs for our cars for no reason. They spent 3750 to replace 2 wheels, 2 tires, and 2 sensors. That is ridiculous.
assuming top dollar:

950x2 for wheels=1900
300x2 for tires=600
100x2 for sensors=200

So unless the flatbed, alignment, and other insurance adjuster bs they did cost 1050, they get ripped off for parts.

I'm 25 and I'll be switching to AllState next month. I was quoted about $425 for 6 months. Hopefully by the time I visit them, it wont change.

Wow USAA must really not want me to buy their insurance. I hear they are cheap for everybody, except me!

25 - single
With a sparkling record they are quoting me $219/month for my two cars. I have AAA now and it's $139/month. Progressive even quoted $140/month.
100 comp and 300 collision. I'm older with lower coverage options and USAA still is cheaper for you! (I have quite a few discounts too)
