Not able to receive rebate cause.....

I have to order my car from the factory and the dealer says he need's the VIN to give a rebate. Does'nt sound right to me, he has written in

I have to order my car from the factory and the dealer says he need's the VIN to give a rebate. Does'nt sound right to me, he has written in my order invoice that when the car is delivered and if their are any incentives or rebates available then I can receive my rebate. That 500 bucks would be nice to get back. Do you think there will be rebates around June or July when I take delivery? Thanks in advance.
