I have already began leasing the car at $511 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down. I tried about 15 other dealerships and no matter what, they would not decrease the payment or would just run my credit score and drop it lower. The dealership in new york is a bunch of scum bags but I just went along with it and got the car from them at that price because they were the only dealership with a PW 2010 370z Auto w/ Sports Pkg. At any rate, I appreciate all the concerns and opinions I have been provided to by the members on this forum and no matter what, I was told this by two other dealerships, NO ONE can lease a 370z for 339 a month, that it is just a scam to bring people in there. So, I just went along with the deal after having my credit ran 6 times and having the dealership get me the car at this price.

I understand that you guys feel I could have gone to another dealership. I have went to 12 other dealerships with no success. This is my quote, down payment, and for this amount of months I must lease the 370z. Last week I flew to NY and drove the 370z back down to FL and enjoyed every bit of the breaking in cycle.

475 miles a tank on premium
350 miles a tank of regular

These times were all at 85-100 mph the entire way.

As far as the lease discussion goes, please continue to post your lease quotes and pricing in your area if need be so.

As long as you are happy with the purchase then that is all that really matters.

leasing is all about residual value and money factor, you can't judge how good of a deal you got unless you have those numbers. But as long as you are enjoying the car, that's what matters. $339 lease on a 370z would be unheard of.

But congrats! And I wish I can get me a 2010 Nismo. What's the invoice on them anyways?

Thanks alot for your best wishes and the 370 is truly an amazing vehicle right round. A 2010 Nismo is 39,610 MSRP. And at two dealerships here in Orlando, I see them at 42,065 and 40,565. A black and a white one. The white one is oh so sexy...the black...hmm Nice, but you can't see the curvature of the car at all in the day or at night.

All the lease quotes are going to vary due to some states are user tax and others are up-front tax.

For some reason the MF on the 370z seems really high.
I pay less than your quote for my 09 6MTG37Scoupe with Premium Sport Nav.
MSRP was around 44k I think.

I went and got an estimate of the lease payment on a Nismo 370z and the guy told me 680.... I laughed and told him thanks for the test drive. I think the Nismo was stickered around 41.

I just called him.

You will also need the money factor, which is your apr on the lease.

I like leasing, you get more car for the money.

If you buy the car you pay FULL sale price in taxes, which you will never see back.

If you plan on buying it, how long do you have to own it before your not upside down? 4 years or better?

And you can get in and out of cars much better. I like to have a new car every 3-4 yrs.

Right now Im looking at leasing a 2010 370z. Since they just came out, the lease will be much stronger.

Also only money you want to put down on a lease is sec. dep. first month payment.
If you put a large amount down, then total your car. Your out that money.

So I like leasing, it has to be for the right person,,, and yes I have crunched the numbers over and over.

Get you money back and start over. Call a dealer that says they will do a grand under invoice.
this probably is not the norm, but a friend of mine had to trade in his '09 base w/ sport 2 weeks ago and the dealership gave him 25.5k for it, which was just enough to cover the outstanding balance on the 72 month loan on the car. so...while im sure the fact that he was buying an altima from them played into the fact that they were willing to go up that high(although kbb has the trade-in for an '09 around that value), im pretty sure even with aggressive financing like a 72 month loan without much down, you wont be upside down on it for 4 years...

but im sure whether or not you pay invoice vs msrp on the car and if you finance tax/tags etc has a lot to do with it. i know my friend's initial loan was something like 31k for the car, not entirely sure. anyways, i went off on a tangent, just saying i dont think it'll take 4 years to get positive equity out of a 370z, even with an aggressive loan. but i've heard that 370's are commanding a high resale value right now at least(saw they were voted best in class resale this year)..maybe some of the dealers on here can shed some light there.

Leasing is like renting, the car is not yours and you are throwing the money away. I learned my lesson, I will never, ever leased another vehicle.

If I don't have the money to buy it, then I don't need it!!!

This argument is WAY too simplistic.

essentially, nissan is trying to say that these cars are worth like 10 grand after 39 months which is ridiculous

I called prior to entering the dealer and they said it would be 30 to 40 dollars more if you want in automatic. I always wanted a white 370z with a sports package w/ an automatic because I test drove the auto once before and it was amazing. The dealership told me that my monthly payment would be $469 a month for 39 months with $3000.00 down. I gave them my down payment and they said, your monthly payment is now $515 a month after they cashed the check. Keep in mind that they ran my credit score a the beginning of the deal and told me they can do it for $469.

Do you think $515 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down is a deal on a sports package 370z automatic? I need advice because this dealership brought me in thinking 400 a month and now im at $515....
Personally I think leasing a car is a totally bad idea altogether unless you are doing it as a company or wish to change cars every 2 years. It doesn't make sense to "rent" a car and have annual mileage and wear & tear restrictions that most lease terms have...and then a huge baloon payment afterwards should you decide to keep the car. And you don't own the car outright so you can't list it as a depreciating asset when you want credit for other things down the line.

In other words you are just putting money into the dealers pockets and then they get to sell the car off after the term of the lease is up. And what do you get left with? No car, no trade in and left in a position to either buy or lease another car in order to get around.
