Default 370z lease pricing ridiculous?!

I went to the dealership to lease a 370z because I saw an add online that said it would cost $339 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down too lease a 370z. I called prior to entering the dealer and they said it would be 30 to 40 dollars more if you want in automatic. I always wanted a white 370z with a sports package w/ an automatic because I test drove the auto once before and it was amazing. The dealership told me that my monthly payment would be $469 a month for 39 months with $3000.00 down. I gave them my down payment and they said, your monthly payment is now $515 a month after they cashed the check. Keep in mind that they ran my credit score a the beginning of the deal and told me they can do it for $469.

Do you think $515 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down is a deal on a sports package 370z automatic? I need advice because this dealership brought me in thinking 400 a month and now im at $515....

everyone always says that leasing a 370z is a bad idea, at 515 a month for a base with sports, plus your down payment... you're not too far off from what it would cost to finance the car, just a longer term but the car will actually be yours.

Did they tell you why it went from 469 to 515 per month? Was the 469 before the monthly use tax if it applies to you?

Yeah walk away if you are not in need of a car right now. I would tell them no unless they will do the $469 but be cautious they may increase the term to lower the payment.. You can always find another dealer that will do it. Dont forget to cancel the check if you walk away.

Why would it go from $339/mo. to $469? You said the auto tranny was only costing $30-$40 more...sounds like they are trying to take advantage of you

Who the hell puts down payment on lease? The car isn't yours and never will be and leasing the car for 450-500 is the price equivalent to real car owner's payment. Save up and put 20% down payment on the car and financial the damn car w/ at least 4.00 APR.

Maybe they were thinking that you wanted to put $3k down PLUS tax, tags, registration, etc. I agree with the other poster that said your payment seems reasonble if you only put down $3k total.

The dealership increased my monthly payment IMMEDIATELY after they cashed my down payment. I am being offered $515 a month for 39 months with $3,000 down as of today and they basically are scamming me as I have looked up reviews about this dealership online. There called Nemet Auto Group located on Hillside Ave. New York.

Furthermore, leaseing isn't all that bad as people say it is because if I get the lease at $469 a month for 39 months with $3,000 down that equals $21291. They will then let me finance the vehicle afterwards for $19,600 bringing the total of the car to be $40891. If I want this 370z to be financed it would be over 750 a month and the interest rate on the monthly payment puts the vehicle at that price ANYWAYS! If not, I have did the calculations several times with different amounts of down payments and I am losing 1,500 to 2,000 leasing if I keep getting robbed by this dealership.

So in the end...leaseing does work out much better as it does make it possibly for some to afford to purchase a vehicle.

On the other hand...$515 a month is BS to me but have to go along with it because for the past 3 months I cannot find a white 370z with a sports package and automatic at any dealership on the east coast other then Nemet auto group.

Another thing is, they sent me the contract in the mail and they increased the down payment to 5,097 and expect me to sign the contract at that price and still pay $515 a month for 39 months...beware of dealerships that do these things please. I am going to scratch it out of course and put 3,000, then initial, and give the documents back to them for a deal.

Still in the end...I feel that I have no other choice but to lease this 370z because the white, with sport package is so limited, as well as with automatic.

Ugh...what to do?!

The manager himself said "Dealerships lie all the time to bring buyers in, im giving you the vehicle at a good price. Anywhere else you go, it will be higher, guarantee you!" scum

P.S. - sorry for the double post.

I just got a new quote today for leasing and buying. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet but the first offer they made me was for 32,740 for a '10 base+sport white 6pd with nismo brake pads, floor and trunk mat, illuminated kick plates and splash guards. The down payment is 2000 either way and the price is 519 lease or 575 purchase. I haven't haggled it yet but it looking good so far and I got that in writing on a printed sheet from them. Don't let them screw you.

For how many months are you leasing the vehicle at 519 a month and how many months for purchase?

Did they run your credit yet?

Dude...you're basically admitting to yourself that you're getting scammed, but in the same breath you're saying that you have no choice? How about you grow a pair and tell the guy to go f**k himself, and then haul your girly *** to another dealer?

Seriously...why is that such a hard thing to do?

By the way, you do realize that another dealership can locate the car you want, even though they don't have it in their own inventory....don't you?

39/mo lease and 72/mo purchase. I'm going to see if I get it to like 530 for purchase. They didn't run my credit but I told the what my credit was and they gave me a quote based on that.

Dude...your being a real mcA**hole right now and not understanding my point. I called up 7 dealerships 4 in florida, 3 in new york and a white 370z with a sports package and automatic transmission cannot be found. Now do you see why its such a hard thing to do? 2 dealerships in the east coast have that exact 370z.

In the end, you should grow a pair and call a dealership and find out yourself and come comfront me again. Damn, 1 post on this forum and I already found a F**King idiot.
