72 months for 575? Yeah thats $41,400. Leasing works out cheaper if you get it for that price lol. You should definitely haggle them down, thats ridiculous. |

Ok...let's dissect what you just wrote so we can figure out exactly how little sense it makes. You found the Z you want...correct? So why don't you walk into another dealership and tell them that you've located it yourself at another dealer but you don't want to do business with them because of their dishonesty. Don't you think they'll make every effort to get that car for you from the other dealership? Salesmen want to do one thing...make sales.
And if for some strange reason they can't, then you just need to decide how big of a sucker you're willing to be. Quote:

Yes, please do...I am holding out for a bit to see if I can locate any more 370z's with that color and specs. They have a lease special going on if you google it up its $399 for 39 months with 3,000 dollars down to lease the vehicle. I say you use it as ammo just in case you decide to do a lease.

I have to agree with Carniac, you made it sound like you had no choice and you never raised any type of concerns. If I was offered $339 and they came back and said it was $469, naturally I would say "wow! thats a big change, why?" Then in the end it came out to $515 and they wanted more for a down?! You left a lot to be mentioned.
Anyway, my point is, this is a good forum, trust me, I've had a Z awhile and there are far worse Z forums out there. If you are going to post something, atleast be open to some criticism and state everything so we can best reply. Obviously, you got a bad deal, and if they treat you that way in the beginning imagine how they would treat you after? Keep looking around I'm sure you'll find a good offer. Good luck! |

Dude thats an awesome spreadsheet you have there. I see that they are NOT giving you any discounts on the vehicle what so ever. It seems that were pretty much in the same price range as if I were to lease than purchase the vehicle I would be at $42,885 for a 2010, automatic, base Z, with a sports package and you would be at around $42,500.
If me and you were to either finance the vehicle, it would be about 2,000 cheaper but still affordable from the get go because we would still have to pay the interest rate which is about 6.7% here in Florida. After looking at your estimate, I am going to go to the dealership tomorrow and get the vehicle at $515 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down and just fight for the 15,000 miles as I am currently being offered 12,000 miles. Thanks for the upload. |

6.7%?? Wow...you really are being taken for a ride. These salesmen must know how badly you want that car.

Demon, I would get your money back and start over. Try giving Lou in STL a call. He is doing them for a grand under invoice, which will get your cap costs down.
I just called him. You will also need the money factor, which is your apr on the lease. I like leasing, you get more car for the money. If you buy the car you pay FULL sale price in taxes, which you will never see back. If you plan on buying it, how long do you have to own it before your not upside down? 4 years or better? And you can get in and out of cars much better. I like to have a new car every 3-4 yrs. Right now Im looking at leasing a 2010 370z. Since they just came out, the lease will be much stronger. Also only money you want to put down on a lease is sec. dep. first month payment. If you put a large amount down, then total your car. Your out that money. So I like leasing, it has to be for the right person,,, and yes I have crunched the numbers over and over. Get you money back and start over. Call a dealer that says they will do a grand under invoice. |

Im thinking that it was 339 if you have the best credit available and they might of left out something in that price. Its a marketing ploy prolly to get you in there. And prolly only 5% of the population can get the car for 339. Now dont take this the wrong way but 469 is the price youd pay maybe cause of your credit rating. And then with tax tag and all that good stuff pushes it up to 515 a month. But I could be wrong.. as I dont know a whole lot about leasing. If the dealer isnt willing to get the car you want then go to another dealership till you find the car you want. Its really a buyers market when it comes to cars, if you dont like what 1 dealership is giving...go to another till you find one that is willing to serve you. Your making the sales guy richer...so he should treat you like royality for however long your at the dealership is my opinion on buying a car.
