Default Am I being unreasonable?

I have decided to make the turn from site lurker to poster as I am now in the market for a 370z.

I have gotten a few quotes from various dealers.
I am looking for a Monterey Blue Base 6 speed with the sport option, splash guards, illuminated kick plates, floor mats and trunk mat.
Either 09 or 10 doesn't matter.

I have been quoted about $32,500 for a 2010 from a few different dealers.
One place found a 09 and quoted me $34,000. I told them that I would buy today at $29,000.
My feeling is that a leftover should be less than a new one. The problem is that the car is not on their lot and the dealer that has it will not give it up.

Am I being unreasonable at that price? I am also pushing them on the 2010 price. I am willing pay $30,000.

29K for a 2009 base ok, I would say forget the 30k on a 2010. Go to multiple dealers as I did. I got 3600 off for the same car at the 3rd dealer I visited. Rich

he wants the sport package...29k is a few grand under invoice which you might be able to get on an '09, but depends on the dealer and how long they have had it in their inventory.

the VPP number lasts for 60 or 90 days if I recall? I used him the first time he did it and was a very painless process

edit: Nevermind, looks like it's different terms this time

Yeah. I know it's a long shot but I am willing to wait to get the best price.
If the info is correct on the invoice thread then the invoice price is $31,168 for what I want. Which means that most of the dealers I have dealt with are giving me invoice plus destination.

over here in CA i was quoted 27,7 for 2010 base 6MT (floor mats, trunk mat), and went 32,0+ttl for base 7AT (sport, black cherry paint, illumin kick plates, splash guards, floor mats, trunk mats, wheel locks). No VPP needed. So no, you should be able to get pretty close to your price, because my two extra options @ invoice is about 2k more total (7at and black cherry colour is 1375+433 = 1808).

Well I pulled the trigger on a Blue 6 spd touring sport. I didn't originally want the touring option but I got a great deal.
Thanks for all the help.
