I am in TX but that should not matter. If your dealer will not order you one find another dealer.

Will not cost any more. I just ordered one just like you are looking for except silver for $500 over invoice. So fight for a good price just like you would if you were taking one off of the lot.

Ordering a car from the factory is actually cheaper for the dealer since they don't have to make the car payments while it sits on the lot.

If a dealer doesn't want to order one for you then they are just being stupid because they want to sell you what's on the lot.

If that ends up happening contact the Fleet Manager via email or phone. Fleet managers work different than sales rep vultures that stock you right when you drive into the lot. If you know you exactly what you want let them know, they'll put it together and they'll give you a price. If the price isn't what you want say at Invoice. Tell them you want it at for $xx,xxx and see what they say.

Always get a 2nd quote from another dealership and let them quote you first, and hint to them that you are shopping around for the best price. Once they give you a quote and it comes in higher tell them "Well thanks but i already got quoted less than that, if you can beat it I'll go in person to discuss with you.

Good luck.

The Weapon is actually dead accurate. When a vehicle comes in and gets delivered asap there is no floorplan expense to the dealership. There is a little more involved in ordering a vehicle, dealers are given allocations of orders based on the volume of that model. Example, we sold out of our GTR allocation (maximum of 4) for 2009 before they were even built. Therefore I received a special allocation for a 2010 GTR (one of two to be in CT in March). If a dealer doesn't turn over his inventory he/she may have a hard time placing an order.

One of the dealers here told me they would actually take more off if I ordered one. Might be an allocation issue.

You are quite far below invoice at this point. A dealer can only order a vehicle for you if he has a allocation for one. It is based on "turn and earn".
Make sure the dealer has an open allocation for the vehicle first. If not you will sit in a que until a allocation is given to the dealer. You cannot just submit an order and expect it to be build. So a dealer that cannot order a vehicle for you is not being stupid, he/she prob does not have a open allocation to place your order in.
