Enough lurking from me, finally got one.
I put a deposit down on a base/sport in blue last week. I originally tried to obtain the car I want at the dealership that the car was shipped to. After talking to their managers, I knew the deal wasn't going to happen as they wouldn't give me what I was looking for in my trade (about $1300 less). After leaving that dealership, I went around to different places looking for the car. Unfortunately that was the only sport/base in the area, so I really though I was going to strike out again on my search for a Z (I was going to buy one last July, ended up with a new Prius ) or end up paying extra for a touring with sport. As my luck would have it, I ended up finding a dealership near my house that would offer me $500 more than what I was looking for in the trade. On top of that, I was able to use my B plan discount (thanks Robert) and Toyota rebate to complete this transaction. The only question was will the original dealer release the vehicle as they knew I was somewhat interested in it. It turned out they did release the car. The vehicle showed up on the lot two days after I left my deposit. After some haggling over financing, I finally signed the paperwork for delivery next week. It will suck to pay for a $30K car again, but at least I won't get passed due to a lack of HP at the track!!!
I am still torn between the yellow vs the blue. I really have no problem with either one. I guess blue was my original first choice, I really should stick to it. The MSRP was $33985 (I need that trunk mat!!!), I think I got it for around $29400 or so. By the way, they offered me $1200 for the platinum (or whatever the highest one is) on a 6 year extended warranty. I wonder if I should have gotten it. Of course one of the thing I hate about Nissan is that their service is so $hitty that they will try to not do any warranty work! I think I am better off sticking to the original warranty and save money to fix the car myself. With my history, I will probably buy something else after 3 years.... Thanks everyone, especially Robert and Lou |

congrats! I never go for the extended warranty. I either get rid of the car before it expires, or void it in short order anyways with mods.

Congrats. The blue is sharp. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
