Hey Guys
Hey guys, new to the forum. After looking around and shopping for new cars I've finally decided upon the 370Z (it was inevitable, I don't even know why I looked at other cars). Anyway I've finally decided on my criteria (manual, sports package, monterey blue, coupe) and have found a few matching my criteria. However they are all 09 models. Given the 2010 model has been out for a while and the 2011 isn't too far off how much of a discount can I expect to get off invoice.
Here's an example of one of the cars I found 2009 370Z Touring w/ sport package 6spd manual MSRP - $37,890 Invoice - $34,840 What kind of price do you think I could expect to get and what would be a fair initial offer. Also in regards to 2009 vs 2010. After researching I've found I can either get a 2010 base w/ sport package or a 2009 touring w/ sport package. Would anyone show a preference to one over the other or should I let cost be the deciding factor. For what it's worth I got an internet offer of $31,500 for the 2010 base w/ sport package. I'm also located in MD, USA. Thanks, |

Purchase price...
I am currently looking to buy my first Z. I'm looking at one at a dealer with a sticker of $38,490...2009, MT, Touring and Sports Pkg. I usually keep my cars for 10+ years minimum, so I'm OK that it's a leftover.
In the opinion of those who've been there, what's a good purchase price? Thanks |

The remaining 09s have been going for 3,000USD under invoice.

2009 Touring with sport (manual): $35,241 (this includes a destination fee)
This does not include any extras like floor mats, splash guards, etc.

Quick question, though...
The previous poster says $3000 under invoice on 2009. Using the invoice numbers at the start of the thread, this would be about $32,300 (w/freight). Why the disparity? Any help is appreciated... This one has splash guards and floor mats...MSRP $38,490 |

I did not put in the 3,000 off the invoice price, just did the invoice pricing.
3,000 is what many of the dealerships on this forum are offering, so it might vary from place to place.

A site I stumbled upon was New Cars Pricing and Comparisons Local, Regional and National Car Price Reports at TrueCar - not sure as to its accuracy, but it sure is pretty. It gave me a good idea of what to look for, but I had an offer via the Internet I really couldn't refuse going into the the dealership. It made a "I'd like a new car" to "I'm gonna buy this now".

2010 Coupe - under invoice price...
The best deal I was able to get today was $500 under invoice for a 2010 coupe and i believe they would eat the dealer installed extras (bra, tint, nitrogen locking lug nuts). I left them saying flatly that any dealer would take an at invoice deal on a 2011 when it came out and I was sure that all the dealers would go under invoice for a 2010. They didn't disagree and asked what deal it would take for me to buy a 2010 today. Any thoughts on what the best amount under invoice I could get with them continuing to eat the dealer installed options?
