Trade in Value-350Z
While there are many posts disclosing the 370Z's purchase price, I was wondering whether 370Z buyers are satisfied with the trade-in value that the dealerships are granting as part of the purchase?
Could you disclose your trade-in's year, trim level and milage along with the value you received from the dealer? I'd like to compare vs. KBB, Edmunds, etc. to see if it is reasonable. |

Im guessing theres going to be mixed numbers. All dealers are different...hence why some are marking up the 370s and others not so much.
You should go to your dealer and have them appraise it! If your happy with it then what does what other people got matter....just my .2 cents

I suggest you visit Kelly Blue Book and NADA I would also check Autotrader.com to see what price people are selling there 350's. I did all three before trading my 350. Two dealers tried to screw me over on my trade. I didn't feel like going back and forth with the idiots so I got my keys and left. Sorry to use such harsh words, but "it is what it is". In Texas if you trade in a car then you don't pay taxes on the amount that was traded. For example if the brand new car is $25K and your trade in is $5K you pay tax on $20K instead of $25K. Hope this helps, also find out your payoff before going to the dealership.

Thanks as this is helpful. My experience with nissan is that if you get the deal you are looking for in the purchase price, they low ball you on the trade-in. Pa is the same as Texas so it's important to get as high a trade-in as you can to lower the sales tax pay out which is 6% in Pa. |

I had a Pikes Peak White 2003 350Z Base with 68k miles on it.
Intelliprice - $5,610 - $8,365 KBB - 12,150 (FAIR) 13,200 (Good) $14,000 (Excellent) Dealer wouldn't make me an offer until the 370Z came in. Carmax offered $7,500 because i had aftermarket wheels, $1000 off for that. I owed 10k on it still and just sold it today for $13,500 privately within a week. |

Just goes to show... If at all possible never do a dealer trade, especially if you still owe a balance on it.
