40th anniversary purchasing
I just decided to start this thread to detail my adventures in searching for a 40th Anniversary 370Z and see if anyone else was trying to do the same thing.
I contacted multiple dealerships in the SoCal area and only heard back from two who seemed to have any idea what I was talking about. I'm currently waiting on a price quote from one and I was quoted 3k above MSRP for another. I'm willing to pay some premium over the Sport+Touring model, but not that much... Anyone else trying to do this? |

Paying a premium over Touring/Sport is one thing, but do not pay a premium over MSRP. That's just crazy.
My sources say that all production of Zs in January was diverted to 40th Anniversary models and first deliveries should be arriving in February. Good luck!

Yeah, Danny's the one I'm waiting on a price for. I just heard back from the other dealership and they've lowered their price from MSRP +3k to just MSRP, and I think it might be reasonable to get it even lower from there. I don't intend to pay over MSRP.
I guess my main curiosity is if there's some info out there we don't know about yet... also, it was a bit weird to me that even this late in the juncture a lot of dealers I spoke to didn't seem to understand what I was talking about when I mentioned the 40th. |

Just remember, limited edition does not automatically equal in demand. No reason to pay over MSRP. I don't even think I'd pay that. |

We took a deposit from a forum member for 1k below MSRP. We would definitely discount a normal Z much more, but we are only getting 2 of the 40th Anniveraries. There is definitely no reason to be over MSRP, contact Fontana, they are a supporting dealer!
