Used 09 Base 7AT
I'm looking at a used 09 Base 7AT with 8K Miles, 100K Miles Power Train warranty, CPO 370Z. Dealer has it listed at 31,100, which is basically MSRP. Invoice for a brand new 09' Base 7AT is 29,200. Considering the car is used, what is a good price and what is a great price for this vehicle? Thanks in advance fellas!

Invoice on a Base 09 is like 29-30k. This is a used vehicle and the 2010's are out, ask for 25-26k and meet at 27k. But more importantly, asked them why the original owner sold it?

To bad it's not in it's second year, you would save a lot of money.
Year Retained MSRP % Resale Value New 100% $31,230.00 2 -- 59% -- $18,425.70 3 -- 50% -- $15,615.00 4 -- 42% -- $13,116.60 5 -- 35% -- $10,930.50 2009 Nissan 370Z Resale Value - Kelley Blue Book |

i would never tell a pre-owned customer who the prior owner was. that's an invasion of privacy. if you traded in a car, would you want to be getting phone calls from a potential customer of the dealership who is looking at the car? You may get a little less on a trade than a private sale, but you also have the comfort of NOT having strangers call you!

I located a new 09 base auto with splash/front mats. Planning to offer dealer 28K + TTL. Any inputs?

Yes, you want to consider your total cost, this would be:
$total price of the car, $trade in value, and $financing rate. Focus on all three of these variables in your assessment in order to make a wise decision. For example, if you can get the car for a cheaper price elsewhere but the financing rate is higher it might be more expensive. If you get the car somewhere else cheaper, but your trade in is less it might be more expensive, etc. |
