Default What I paid and VPP pricing

For what its worth here are the details on my trade/purchase. My car listed for 41,715 with a base of 35,760 for a 7AT Touring plus 115 for mats, 200 for illuminated kickplates, 3,000 for the sport pkg, 95 for the trunk mat, and 1850 for navigation.

I had to give list but got 3,500 off for VPP pricing. For those who don't know this is the Nissan employee version of the friends and family program. I live in Nashville TN so between the corporate office and the Smyrna plant it's pretty easy to find a Nissan employee around here who would let me use his badge number. There was some confusion in the begining as to the new z being able to use the discount but in the end it does qualify. Sorry rich guys my dealer says a GTR still isn't available under the program.

They gave me 8,000 for my 03 touring with 95k miles. This was about what my old 350 was worth in "real" money because it had some badly repaired body work from an accident last year. Just goes to show what a good value all z's are because what else could I have bought for 35,000 six years ago and still get 8,000 for 95k miles later at trade in.

I'm pretty sure prices will come down off list quickly under this economic climate but this week after really shopping for one in my area and on ebay list seems to be the price.

Confused about what you paid for your car in your post--so you paid 3500 bucks off the 41K sticker or 3500 off the 35K base price? You'd think they'd give you 3500 under invoice or something sweet for VPP pricing

Not very clear in your post...

Sorry after re-reading my post maybe it wasn't so clear. They took 3,500 off of a list of 41k. Plus another 8k off for my trade in. I'm sure the deals will get better pretty soon but around my area they are selling as fast as they are coming off the truck. In my case there were 2 people in line behind me to buy this one if I didn't want it.

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad the VPP applies to the 370z. I will be using the VPP through my company when I purchase mine next year. I can't wait!
