$1800 discounts off 2009 Z invoice price NISSAN PROMOTION
I kid you NOT.
I came to this dealer today to look for a 2010 Z. They have three 2009 370Zs on the lot. I told them i'm not interested in 09. They said Nissan is having a Corp promotion, it's not publicly announced yet, but the general manager is giving me $1800 off the invoice on all 09 370Zs. This is not a typo. Two of their 09 Zs are blue. One silver. Not my colors, otherwise i would have bought one. |

I went in to a dealer yesterday as well, and he knew nothing about it. Then he pulled out his sheet for the weekend from nissan which showed nothing for the 370z. Then again, he also didn't have a car I was interested in and knew he would have to swap.

He'll make up for the $1800 in fees which you would be presented with once you meet the finance guy and he FLIES you at the speed of light through the contract!.., and interest (if financing).

I seriously doubt Nissan would ever put out $1800 factory cash on Zs. That's what it would take to get one $1800 back of invoice. $500 in February wouldn't surprise me on remaining '09s, and that would be a great deal.
At $1800 off without any money in the deal from Nissan, a dealer would be giving up nearly his entire holdback, I'd think. They will not do it. Not only would they be losing potential profit on the deal, they'd essentially be putting their own money, in the form of their quarterly reimbursement for holdback, into the deal. That's how you close the doors of a dealership. I suspect the dealer offering $1800 back of invoice is ready to rape you on your trade, financing rate, extended warranty or something else.
