Base + Sport Pkg or Base + Aero pkg
So, I'm in a little dilemma here. Recently I've been thinking about getting the 370z, and I can't decide whether to go with Base + Sport Pkg or Base + Aerodynamics pkg and buy some wheels with the ~2,400 extra from not buying the Sport Package.
I kind of like the look of the wheels along with the brakes but I'm on a tight budget here. I was hoping to get some input from you guys so I can make my decision, thanks. |

Sport package includes:
~Aero package ~Brakes ~LSD ~SRM ~Wheels/Tires You could easily pick up wheels for the extra savings but the other options are going to cost you more (if you want them). The one thing that sold me on the sport package was SRM, the other upgrades were my bonus.

Base + Sport! Brakes are really nice, and I happen to like the look of the Rims a lot.
The SRM was originally on my list of "eh" features, but honestly, I haven't turned it off. Personally I love it. You really can't knock it until you've driven with it. That being said, if you're looking at a 7AT, this is pretty moot- grab yourself a Base+Aero and enjoy. |

Thanks for weighing in your thoughts everyone, much appreciated.
I think I'm going to go with the sport package, those wheels and brakes are really growing on me, for an extra $2,100 over the aero package, I get wheels/tires, brakes, LSD, and SRM(though I'm not sure this would be much use as I'm getting a 7AT), pretty good deal. Now to decide what color edit: Base + Sport PKG Invoice excluding all other accessories for now is only 32076 right(for 7AT)? This dealer I'm talking with is trying to tell me 33,000 is the invoice price for Base+SportPKG excluding accessories and before all taxes and what not. Either choice will not be a bad decision. When I purchased my Z, the dealer only had the base model in the color I wanted. After negoiting the deal and having the Spoilers added, I was pleased with the look and price of my Z.
While I did like the wheel package and options the sports model includes, I was not dissappointed as I already had 20in rims for my Z. The only reason they have not been added is because I want to wear down some of the rubber on the factory tires, before I mount the new ones. You may want to price compare new rims & tires versus the things provided with the sports package (brakes, etc) to see which is the better value. If you are okay with the factory tires/wheels and want to save a little money by not getting the sports package, you have your answer. As previously indicated, neither will be a bad decision. Just don't make a final decision you will not be happy with in the end. Good Luck |

If you look in the pricing section -there is a nice PDF (or Word Doc) that looks official and has the pricing information on it. This "official looking" document and a print out from truecar.com were more than enough to tell the dealer I knew what I wanted.
If you bring in physical documentation and they still blow smoke- I'd mention a competitive dealer, and that "that's not what they said". From my past 2 car buying experiences, playing dealers against each other has worked out in my favor each time. I guess they really hate walking a sale. |

Base with sports .
You can sell the Rays 19" rims for $1000-1500 when you decide to upgrade rims. SRM, VLSD and big brake should be enough to get the sports pack ( I also like the rear spoiler)

come on sport, some day down the road somebody is gonna call you out on it "hey a 370z thats the one with the synchrorevmatch isn't it how does it work?" your response "i don't know i don't have it" it's just like the brembo's on the 350z eventually you'll be kicking yourself for not getting it while it's cheap.

I just recently ordered a 2010 370Z with sport package and all the other crap they forcing you to buy. I am getting it for $32,500 out the door. Is this a good deal or can I do better?
Anyone get a brand new 2010 cheaper? Thanks |

To the OP, you might as well get the Base+Sport. For $3000, you can't piece together a combo better than what the Sports Package offers you.
To the question above me, that sounds like a good deal. Check out this thread (if you haven't already). 2009 / 2010 Nissan 370z invoice Price Add up all of the invoice prices of the options that the car comes with and compare it to the price you're getting. If you're at least $500 under invoice then you're good to go!

The 7AT has rev-matching, but it is not SRM as in the 6MT. Enjoy the Z!
