30,945$ before TTL PG 6spd sports, 33600 OTD, good deal?

Hi guys, my first time posting haha ive been lurking for a while. My dad is getting me this car for getting into med school and we've been shopping around several dealers for a 6spd w/ sports (black or PG, pg's been growin on me haha)

Anyway, I was wondering if 33600 was a good OTD to pay for it? Tax rate in florida is 7% i believe.

We walked outta the dealer offering to pay 32800 OTD haha.. maybe they wanted leverage because of Christmas? so we're gunna wait til after christmas to go back.

Thanks!

I can't believe a dealer didn't give you the deal for the additional $800 off

I mean that seems like a good deal either way, most base w/ sports around me are around $35k and tough to find

I would just do it, I mean your dad is paying haha

Is this for an '09 or 2010 model? Less than 30 days ago, I pd $29,000 plus sales tax and a $100 processing fee and title for an automatic no sport package. If your deal is for an '09 it might not be all that good---somewhat better if its for a 2010. Mine deal was cash deal no trade. I assume yours is also.

For a sport package 6MT, $33.6K OTD is a good price.

If you back out the 7% sales tax, you are at $31.4 which is about $200 below invoice. Its actually even lower than that because included in the OTD price is also licensing fees not just the 7% tax. I would guess you are about $500 - 1000 below invoice at the price they offered you, which is a target price I've always suggested in prior pricing posts.

The $32.8K might be a little low.

$30,944 before the tax+ title is about 6xx below invoice. I'd def get it if I were you. What's an extra $800?(your final offer 33,600 - 800 = 32,800). Get the car and enjoy it a day earlier! :driving:

He never said what year the vehicle was...how can you be calucualting how much he's under the invoice? If it's for an '09 (which I would suspect since I can't see a single '10 in inventory in Atlanta), I wiouldn't get all that excited about the deal...especially since "a year's depreciation" is "right around the corner.

...exactly.

How many miles are on the car already? Do you know?

elmz 01-11-2010 05:49 PM

You still have some room to work with if its an 09 IMHO. But if its a 2010, bang! pull the trigger because that's sweet deal!

nice dude! go for it!
