Guy at work has a old 240, bought a skyline front clip that was due to be exported. Took the whole motor and everything else to build this 240.
He's tired of the project now and thinking about selling it but he said the guy only had 3 days before Customs was going to take it. He opted to Chop it up instead....sad story!

2010 MV Agusta F4: Moving Art Can perfection be improved upon? This question has been answered by the new MV Agusta F4, a motorcycle that from the day of its introduction has been judged as the most beautiful motorcycle in the world. The F4 defines beauty. The new F4 is not an evolution of the previous motorcycle, but it is a new project that has been studied down to the last nut and bolt, from the first to the last curve of the bodywork. No mass produced street motorcycle can boast as many accolades as the MV Agusta F4, which is the absolute reference for performance, speed and raw beauty. The F4 is the synthesis of Italian craftsmanship, no compromise design principles and the application of the most technologically advanced materials in a single motorcycle.

Let me clear some things up Steve.
1. Yes, back in 2000 (or was it 99...people new nothing about MV's) other then ads etc. I remember riding it around with my TLR plate because I couldnt get it registered. Can't tell you how many people asked what the heck it was Ended up selling it to the importer of high end watches in AZ 2. Come on now.... Yes it went from a 750 to a 1000 to the new 312 which is a hell of a bike but the design bike still looks pretty much the same. I owned a bike shop (as I'm sure you've read elsewhere) and appreciate each and every one. From my old RD400 Daytona to my first sportbike in High School. Had Muzzy build my ZX7R back in 1990 and built a zx7rr in 94. I love them all and I'll have a pretty rare MV pretty soon to park in my Game room but lets face it...time for a makeover. Aren't you the one with teh Red and Silver one? I tried to buy that Batman Edition one that was on Ebay a few months ago but the guy was CRAZY!!! $40K, he was dreaming!

Can't tell you how many people asked what the heck it was Ended up selling it to the importer of high end watches in AZ I dunno, buddy. Around here any biker outside of the fringed-leather Harley crowd could tell you what an MV was. 2. Come on now.... Yes it went from a 750 to a 1000 to the new 312 which is a hell of a bike but the design bike still looks pretty much the same. Kind of like a Porsche 911? I owned a bike shop (as I'm sure you've read elsewhere) and appreciate each and every one. From my old RD400 Daytona to my first sportbike in High School. Had Muzzy build my ZX7R back in 1990 and built a zx7rr in 94. I know you did and I love you, man. I enjoy the thread on your build, just messin' with you. I strongly disagree that this is "the same bike with differnt paint..." that's just crazy. I am the one with the Red/Silver. Time for a makeover? Did you even read the text I posted above from the MVusa site? Oh and let's not forget that this company is small and underfunded, just got jettisoned by Harley and may not be around in six months <sigh>. There is more than one Batman edition, I believe. But I dunno, $40k does not sound too much to me when CCs, etc go for much more. So, I leave you with this, the latest incarnation of the fastest production motorcycle in the world: http://www.mvagustausa.com/web-mvagu...F4_1078RR.html

Carfax is the best, and that is why they charge more. They get 3 times the data of any other vendor out there. You can check a car with Auto Check and it will show clean title, check the same car with Carfax and it will show it was in a bodyshop. Carfax has more connections to bodyshops, police reports, ect. Believe me I wish I could use Auto Check becuse it is dirt cheap, but if you have to buy a car back due to a report being wrong(which has happen to me) it will be cheaper in the long run to use Carfax. |

CarFax does have more info. But I hate them because the info they have can be very misleading and ruin a sale. Sometimes..almost all the time the buyers are paranoid to start with. CarFax gives them too much info and they don't know how to understand it. Sometimes you have to control the customer so they will stop running around in circles like headless chickens and buy something. They actually need you to do that for them because many are incapable of making decisions. It's like being a psychologist lol.
CarFax reports accidents and many times it is just a fender or bumper cover. Nothing to do with the structure or integrity of the car. But when customers see "ACCIDENT" they automatically run. Many times it says major accident when it is not the case at all. If you go to the auction where they have 20000-4000 vehicles, I would say 65%-70% of the cars have had some paint work. Fenders, bumpers, etc..You can have a wonderful clean car that had a fender replaced and the Carfax will scare them off. My fathers Highlander was swiped in the intersection. He had to replace the bumper cover and fender. CarFax reported it as a "major" accident. Just ruined the value of his car. It is a one owner driven to work and back for 5 years. Low miles and dealer maintained always. The perfect used car everyone is looking for. But now people will just skip it because some minor paint work. The bumper and fender are OEM Toyota parts btw, not the cheap ones that don't fit. I think they have too much power to dictate the history of a vehicle. Just because CarFax says something doesn't mean it is word spoken from God. But Joe six pack and Sally soccer mom think so. So they will go down the road and buy a real accident car that was not reported and really get screwed. They could have bought a nice car from a dealer up the road but it had a painted fender and CarFax didn't like it. I have had so many issues with that company. They do more harm then good. Car enthusiasts usually are not that paranoid. They know about cars and understand things. They already want to buy a car when they come on your lot. They usually know more about the model then the salesman. If you type Car Fax problems into google you will see hundreds of cases f people getting screwed over by Car Fax, they are like he mafia. |
