Picking up my black base 370 tomorrow

It's the midnight black non touring. Doesnt come with the sports package, but 3 grand off will afford a nice set of Volk racing wheels and a brembo kit. Thinking about selling the wheels and tyres on craigslist to a 350 z owner.

I'm paying invoice... and the manager is giving me 10K for my truck. I cant bloody wait till tomorrow.

Congrats on the car!

I will have to correct you though, $3k for a set of Volks or a Brembo kit.... :D

r6addict 01-08-2009 11:48 AM

hehe-- I have a buddy who works for brembo racing, so I'll likely be paying cost plus a lil.

M.Bonanni 01-08-2009 11:48 AM

Oh well, in that case sign me up too! :D

Congrats! The only thing that makes me really want to get the Sports package is the LSD. The rev matching is nice but I'm not going to track the car so it's not as much use to me as an LSD. I prefer black wheels on the Z so I'd probably end up swapping them out anyway. I'm still waiting for a 7AT vs 6MT compare to see how big the difference is. I've yet to see a base model with the 7AT (not even sure you can get one that way without special ordering it).

smh is it even MT?

LSD can be had for much cheaper than upgrading to the Sport package.

^He speaks da truff!

the stock 18's will be fine. If I end up doing some track days, I'll probably upgrade brakes, wheels and add an oil/diff cooler.

From what I've read, about $1000. The 19" wheels are worth probably around that, the rev match may be worth that much to a lot of people as well. That makes the sports package well worth it if you were going to spend the extra dough to upgrade the car anyway. If my wife is going to drive, I have to get the 7AT or buy her a big diamond to agree to learn to drive a stick, costing me even more! :D

Let's not forget the front and rear spoilers that included in the Sports Package. Do you care about them? if not, you don't have to opt for the sports package but also keep in mind, you're going to let a tuning shop put an aftermarket LSD in with most likely 0 miles on the odo. You REALLY have to trust the place and I don't know if you'll void your warranty on drivetrain or no.. Most likely YES! Think about it.

IMHO: it is Extremely Wise to go w/ the sport package ! its a major option since its main ingredient is the LSD, bigger brakes & the aero kit

in anycase, don't forget to post PICTURES !

First & most important congrats & best of luck with your car!

How do u figure $3,000? there is only $1887 difference between MSRP & Invoice.
Unless your car has a automatic & Navigation, Door sills, mats, etc etc.

Congrats! Post pics when you pick it up. The black is awesome!

Exactly! Warranty is a big hit-or-miss issue. The car is new and may have a few bugs here and there. You may be denied for warranty work due to modifications done to it and it is widely depended of the dealership's opinion.

Congrats and good luck to OP!
