09 Z, $31K base auto with sports package. Destination charges included. Taxes+lic+fees not included.

is this a good deal?

the only problem the car is from another dealer. If I buy, they have to drive it back about ~50miles. the car right now has 150 miles on it already.

should I still take this deal?

Now I wouldnot care if i were to purchase a non-sports car. But in this case, who knows if their driver's going to go 'petal to the metal' on a Z for 50 miles.

From what I've experienced and read online, the transporters are usually light-footed older gentlemen. I wouldn't be *too* worried about the 50 mile trip, however those first 150 could potentially could have been a lot worse. All in all, 200 miles isn't terrible this time of year on a late model 09.

The price is great! A few hundred under invoice. If it's the color you want, and you have the financing you want, go for it.

Good luck!

So you got a Nismo for ~34-35k? Over $2000 below invoice? That's pretty amazing.

According to edmunds.com, the dealer invoice (which is the most you should pay for a 2009MY Z) for a base(manual) + sport is $31,365, including destination charges.

BUT - In my book, if the car already has 150 miles on it (not counting the 50 additional miles it will have on it when you finally get it), then it's a used car. The price you pay should reflect that - and the dealer knows it. They took $365 off of invoice on a car that most others (who are looking for a brand new car) would not accept. Do you think that's such a good deal? I don't.

Just my opinion...YMMV...

PS: The sport package alone is not what would induce someone to put "pedal to the metal" on a Z. Someone who's going to do that will do it whether or not the car is equipped with the sport package.

Sounds like a good deal to me, I don't think 200miles constitutes it to be classified as a used car. IMO

If the car has never been titled, it's not "used". It could have 10,000 miles from test drives and it can be classified as "new" if it's never been titled.

While 200 miles may be a lot for a 370z compared to a Sentra/Versa on the lot, I wouldn't worry about 200. 3-500 is my cutoff for new car miles. A dealer offered me a car with 800 and I swiftly declined.

He was saying non-sports car, not non-sports package. Someone driving a Prius 50 miles from another dealership obviously isn't going to be gunning it at red-lights up to redline and weaving in and out of traffic...hopefully. A Z? A valid concern.

^ BTW, i test drove one today, and I noticed the blind spots are real danger. I mean I couldnot see anything. The two small windows in the back are useless, I couldnot even peek out those two little windows to see if theres a car in the blind spots.

It's a real danger changing lanes on the freeway, because you have no idea if there's a car in the blind spot or not.

I drove my GF's car the other day, and it was like being surrounded by glass....no blind spots.

At first, it seems really bad, but you get used to it. Those mirrors are large enough to see quite a bit behind you if positioned right. Changing lanes is tough until you get in the habit of speeding up 10 mph to "clear" the blind spot! Haha! Jk, of course.

I also added a backup cam to help when backing up.

If I was looking for a new car, 150 miles on the odometer would make it used to me (and a lot of others on this board, I bet). The dealer knows that they're going to have trouble unloading that vehicle, and they should be willing to discount the price more than $365 below invoice. And if it had 500 miles on it - fuggedaboudit, it's used!

OK, thought he was talking about the sport package, and the Z is definitely a valid concern (that was my point)... BTW, is it possible to "gun" a Prius at a red light (or anywhere, for that matter)?
