Need help with a qoute!!
Hey guys I am driving to dealership tomorrow they have a 370 im lookin for..
Its a touring dark grey one with the sport package 6spd,along with carpeted floor mats, illuminated kick plates, and carpeted trunk mat. He told me over the phone it is around 38k... I asked him if they price match with other dealers and he just said to offer something good and it will be a done deal. Now is 38k a reasonable price and how much should I offer him for this z? thanks for all your help! Last edited by DJcuetip; 01-07-2009 at 04:16 AM. |

Well base is $34,460.... with all the options you listed above, you are looking @ $38,565 (If there is no dealer mark-up). I'm a little adventurous so I would ask them to go $37,000 with those options and see what they say.

+1 to 37k. If they say no then WALK OUT THE DOOR. DO NOT LET THEM FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE CONTROL OVER YOU. That is the main rule of a salesman. They want to control you so they can swing you into their game. If you walk out it shows that you dont deal with ******** and they will be calling you back soon.

Yep. That's negotiations 101. Most people don't have the balls to throw out a number that low b/c they are afraid of getting laughed at. The dealer will laugh at you, so laugh back. The important point like Taco said is you have a lower point to negotiate from.

You may not have seen this posted deal but it is essentially the same car you are looking at.
2009 Nissan 370Z Touring 2D Coupe Touring + Sport NO NAV = $34815 Destination charges, dealer prep. $0 MSRP $38,270 Factory invoice $35,305 You save on MSRP $3,455 Maryland No-haggle price $34,815* Maryland * Price includes freight charge but excludes tax, tags and title fees and $99 dealer processing charge White Marsh, Maryland o 10201 Philadelphia Road, White Marsh, Maryland, 21162 o Local (410) 931-7956 o Toll-free (877) 999-9795 • It sure seems like the CarMax 370Z is a decent deal for anyone that's local to Baltimore, MD or can justify the expense of getting to it/getting it to them. |
