To correct..I am paying $36,900 for Yellow, Sport, Touring, AT, floor mats, illum door panels, trunk mat. MSRP is about $40,300. I have contacted over 50 dealerships just in the couthern california area and only a few offer around $400 over invoice and most are MSRP only. This price is right at invoice and maybe even a bit lower. I got lucky with the mis-quote on the $500 charge for yellow.
|
John...destination charge included?
|
yes it was included
|
Too bad we can't just get the Base, Sport, and Navi.
|
Hey John, mind telling me which dealers in Southern California are offering Zs under invoice?
|
Ask for Alex at Nissan of Clovis. IT is about 300 miles from LA. They will order any z for $400 over invoice. I got lucky to get it a bit lower
|
I just picked up my fully loaded 370Z black on black, touring, sport package, 7AT, nav, mats, mud flaps, and illuminated kick plate (1/24/2009).
I purchased it through Ross Irmer at Falore Nissan in Sunnyvale, CA for $38,795 ($300 above invoise). They were courteous and easy to work with. |
Edmunds has the 370Z up now with invoice and TMV pricing:
2009 Nissan 370Z Pricing and Information |
I've found invoice pricing without too much negotiation. Considering holdback and the economy, I'd say most should be somewhat happy to get a sale at invoice. These cars will be much more available than the GTR obviously, so the days of exorbitant mark-up should be over, on THIS car at least.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their input a lot of good information here for buyers to push back when the stealerships try to rip'em a new one. =P
|
I went to Metro Nissan - Montclair, CA today and test drove the black 370z beautiful car might I add. After talking to one of their sales managers there they've only sold 3 out of the 5 they received. Keep in mind this car had Touring, Sport, NO Navi, and all the other small bells and whistles.
I have between Tier - 0 / Tier - 1 credit and the APR he was showing for a brand new car was 5.39%. Not only that, he tried to pawn the car off at $40,200 excluding tax, title, and registration. It was not so much the price that irked me but more so the interest. What kind of APR's did you guys get when purchasing the car? |
That is a decent APR for a new ride like the 370z. Is that 60mos? My dad works for US Bank so I'm eligible for a 4.5% due to his -.5% employee credit. But anything under 5.5 is very decent for 60mos. For 48mos, look for no more than 5%, I think prime is around 3ish (Prime Rate | Federal Funds Rates Discount Rate Fed Fund Reserve Lending COFI), so banks would be making at least that 1% on top of it. Don't expect anything lower unless you go under that 48mos period.
|
Right now the prime rate is 3.25%.

All your invoice numbers can be found in this thread

just got a call from stevens creek nissan. they offered me 1500 over invoice. this is the best price i have seen in california. he said he got a price structuring from nissan, so perhaps most dealerships in the bay area will do the same deal. a custom order will take until march however.
has anyone seen anything better than this in the bay area??? |
^ ..and the price is? Also, what version is this? Touring/MT/Sport/Navi ?
|
he said for any 370z. just add 1500 to the invoice price. he named a few models that the dealership already ordered, but none matched the color or options i wanted. he said this price was also good for custom orders, but would take a long time to show up (march). invoice pricing thread is in the "sticky" section

Touring Model 6 speed manual
MSRP $34,460 Invoice $31,919 Options S01 - Sports package* MSRP $3,000 Invoice $2,602 U01 - Hard Drive-Based Navigation System** MSRP $1,850 Invoice $1,605 plus 1500 to the dealer comes to 37626 then add tax, destination charge and some tiny fees for paperwork and stuff |
37626 for you is really an excellent price if it includes destination? If that's what he quotes you, go for it. I got mine for 38k even, so I have to pay 38k + taxes + titles/plates and that's it.
|
In SoCal area I found one that is willing to go for 1K over invoice. I bet if you are waiting for Spring or Summer time, you can really get a better price.
|
Navy FCU has new car loans up to 36 mos. for 3.75 APR and if you have problems paying it off within in 36 mos- you can get a 37 to 60 month loan for 5.25 APR
And as "zero" knows $1K over is high- he knows I can get his car for him for $500 over invoice- but like anything if a dealer trade is involved costs increase. I am just glad that that weird and crooked Illinois Governor is OUT- now if they could just FIRE all CONGRESSMAN and stop wasting our money- did you hear and read what is in that OBAMA Stimulus Package... LOTSA PORK!!! |

Even though I would never even think of Chicane Yellow... but maybe...
I found a dealer that has a Chicane Yellow/Black in stock MSRP of $42,140.00 and on sale this weekend for $38,249.00- the dealer faxed me the invoice for the model on their lot and dealer invoice is $38,711.00 So $462.00 Under Dealer Invoice. All options on it except for- illuminated kick and trunk mat. And what gets me- is dealer is not even in the very competitive Los Angeles Area. |

I usually would just buy my own sythethic an take it to a quick lube place where i can see them do everything in about 10min for $10. + cost of my oil and filter i would bring in. Not sure I'll be taking it to them for oil changes but I thought it would be nice to have just incase. The dealership is really out of my way and after the experience I've had with this dealership I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. I wish I paid the extra $500 just to work with the other dealership I do like. |

Okay ... Just kidding.. You should buy whichever fits our family or need. Good luck. |
I just walked away from 1K over invoice but the dealers are still checking on me if I ordered or purchased the car. If I wait for a few months there is another deal that will get me closer to the invoice.

Hi, I'm a new member to the forum. I ordered a new 370Z to my specs on Monday February 2nd. After some negotiating from several Connecticut dealers I got TWO dealers to offer me the car at dealer cost (not MSRP) plus conveyance fee ($329) plus 6% CT sales tax.
The dealers were Napoli Nissan and Middletown Nissan. I hope this helps. Chip |
Old Z owner
New to this site although I have owned 5 Z's over the years. Called and emailed all of my local Nissan dealers yesterday with what I wanted in a car and what I wanted to pay....(and please don't waste your time and mine if you can't meet my price). Out of the 6 dealers I contacted 3 said not possible. One dealer said business has been slow and asked me when I wanted to pickup my car! I'm picking up this morning a Touring, AT, black on grey (black interior in South Florida would be ridicules), no sport package, no navigation and no aero package, only the little options. $37,000 OUT THE DOOR ! TTL included. It seems that from what I have read on this site, the price is good. Any thougts or comments would be appreciated, thanx.

Just ordered my 370Z in Maryland!
Just factory ordered a 370Z! Touring/Sport/6-speed/Nav/Floor & Trunk Mats/Illuminated Door Sills. Platinum Graphite with Black interior. Paid $36,878 (MSRP $40,415, Invoice $37,123) ... $245 below dealer invoice! With TTL (6% tax), $39,426 out the door, great deal! It's going to be tough to wait up to 90 days to get it! :icon18:

ok i read up this thread a couple of times and still dont know what to expect. THis may be why:
I am in canada im looking into the 370z sport package. the car comes to $44,000 before taxes and freight charges. SO based on what you guys know about dealer cost/invoice prices in the states what is a realistic discount i can get for this car up here in canada. also taking into consideration i know the owners of this nissan dealer? I would expect the markup isnt much different from us to canada. Thanks in advance |

I just factory ordered mine too, Pearl White / Persimmon 6MT Sport/Nav packages with all the options for $37,588 (MSRP 40,635, Invoice $37,288). The dealer let me test-driving by myself :driving:. Exhaust sound inside the cabin is not good as the 350Z's. The clutch is really soft and will need to get used to it. Otherwise it is a great car . The order number will be available 1st week of March. The wait is about 10 to 12 weeks. |
spiderman: If you don't mind me asking, what dealer are you going through to get $200 below invoice? I'm looking at basically the same set-up except without the sport package and with auto and have been quoted $200 over invoice over at Herb Gordon Nissan in Silver Spring, MD. I'm looking at about $35,700 minus TTL.
