i never even put it in sport mode

Little known fact - if you change your final drive ratio from OEM the rev-match no longer works. After first downshift it is disabled and you lose your gear indicator also. Will turn back on after engine restart.

Is this something that can be fixed with tuning or programming?

Auto blip needs to be an option on Ecutek!

You guys listening??? :pics:

It should be against the law to sell the Z without SP!!!

That would be a very useful law Mr Trump

No sports car sales without real sports car options as standard. The base brakes are too abrupt even for aggressive driving. U need lsd. N SRM is great for smooth downshifts every single time... don't believe the hype.

Forgot about this thread. The Ecutek updates DO have auto-blip now, I'm just not sure if it can be activated on non-sport models i.e: base. Been meaning to ask Seb but keep on forgetting when emailing logs and tunes back and forth.

I don't think the auto-blip from ecutek is same as the synchro-rev. I tried that function from another car with ecutek, it basically kinda blip the throttle during downshift, but it's more of an estimate than a perfect rev.

Confirmed with Seb that it can only be installed on cars with synchro-rev. It's the same system/sensor in the tranny.

Rev match was definitely worth it for me. I still remember the look on my nephews face when I took him for a spin and he was amazed at how good I was at matching revs on downshifts.............LOL.

I was set on getting a coupe sport for the nicer wheels, rev matching, and the Bose. But if the rev matching is only useful for racing then maybe not worth the extra $$.

Opinions/ advice/ truth?

Your Nissan sales reps is the most stupid sales person in the entire Nissan world. For your information Nissan was the innovator of the synchro rev match in 2009. After 3-4 years Porsche decided to have it on their 911's then followed Corvette C7 manual. Btw most super cars have rev match now a days.

Now who said its just for racing? Funniest joke ever.

Rev match for those people with 2 left feet.

Is rev match worth it? No. But the wheels, brakes and VLSD certainly are, get the sport package.

So you down graded the Z? Why not just turn it off?

So I had a G coupe Sport and just got my sport Z last week, is the Diff in the two cars the same? Also I kept my G diff as it has 4.08s... if I swap my diffs I'll lose my rev-match? :(
