2016 Nismo (non-Tech) pricing
Hi guys,
New poster here. I am in the process of selling my 240sx, and decided to take a test drive on a 2016 Nismo today. I took a black 2016 Nismo Tech out at Future Nissan in Roseville, California. It took a while to get used to that rear visibility (never had a hatch before), but i was surprised at the ride quality for the car marketed as track oriented ride. I am pretty sure I could do a 2 hr drive in it without feeling too worn out. Good acceleration, good interior fitment. Recaros were awesome, although I could stand to lose some weight. A few observations: Why the **** is it so hard to get a 6MT, non-Tech Nismo? Fiddling around with various Nissan websites, there are maybe a dozen available, if not less, and only a couple in pearl white. The dealer had a black 6MT and a used 2015 automatic, that's it. They said they could find a white, non-tech 6MT for me from a "far away dealer" but told me the dealer price was around $44,800 - well above the $41,990 on the factory spec sheet they showed me. The justification was: - $390 for pearl white, which was an extra cost option. What the ****? Pearl white is the color the car's been advertised in for virtually every brochure and commercial! It should be a standard no-cost option. The dealership said it was due to special coating or some nonsense. Ridiculous. - $895 destination. Whatever - a few hundred more for Nismo floormats what what not, that i didn't care about. After some hemming and hawing they came up with $43,700 with $10k down and 2.99% APR. Oh, and they promised the clutch slave cylinder would be covered by a 5Y/60k mile warrantee (i made SURE to talk to the service manager about that, who said he owned a 2015 Nismo and NEVER had to swap one out). Given that I wanted a very specific car (non-tech, 6MT, pearl white), is that in the ballpark of what you guys are seeing, at least in California? I'm gonna play with finances and see if i can get better rate elsewhere from a credit union or something. My credit rating is well over 740, and i own my home with a stable job. EDIT: I specifically asked about the October 0.0% APR financing and was told that it did not apply to 2016 Nismos, only 2015 Nismos (which were unavailable). Sounded suspect, although I understand the special deal not working on limited models. |
Thanks for the information, looking at the 2016 Nismo too, but like you I want a non-tech
|
congrats on a good deal.

:hello:
random question, but are you the same OptionZero as on Zilvia? Just curious since you drive an S14 K if you're in no rush, just wait a few more months and see when the 0% kicks in for the 16 models...you'll save a ton with interest. |
Yup, same dude.
Rethinking the non tech approach, I really want Bluetooth. |
i think you can get a better deal in December, I was able to buy a 2015 370z sport + auto last year in Dec. 2014 for 35.9k drive out, fyi

DONT BUY IN SACRAMENTO! i just bought a 16 370Z Sport. The 3 nissan dealers in Sacto are thieves, they think they have monopoly on Zs but they are $4K high.
I used carguru and the deals are in the bayarea,,concord, walnut creek and oakland Nissan were all the same,,shop all3 on internet, tell them exactly what u want and tell to give best price. i dealt with walnut creek as they are closest,,good luck |
