I wouldn't worry about even paying a little more if the car is in good condition and you really like it. Finding a great used car is harder than a new ones as they are all different in condition.

As other stated, different location, different prices. Just because someone got x for $y in Alaska, it doesn't mean much if you are in Socal where prices are higher.

I was looking for a PW/Persimmon/6 speed/fully loaded/low mileage sample in Socal, and I was prepared to pay private party full price plus tax/lic as that combo is hard to find. This is strictly personal preferences as other might feel otherwise which is fine.
