2010 Pricing....can this be true?

So, I ordered a 2010 coup a couple of weeks ago. I was told that they didn't have 2010 pricing but they would let me know when they got it. Based on the changes, I expected a few hundred dollars, maybe $500...but look at the email I got today (below).
This is for a touring, sport, nav, kick plates, and floormats.....
This same car on 09 was just a tick over $40,000.

Can anyone confirm? My first guess is that they priced a Vert, but haven't heard back from the dealer.

Hey Matt,

I am sorry to send you this information. Nissan just sent out the proper pricing to us. MSRP is $46,520 the way you want it built. The VPP Plan pricing is $42,559.36.
I am sorry about this. It is substantially higher and I understand that you may not want to go through with it. Nissan has allowed us to cancel the order (they never do this) probably because they know the predicament that we are in.
Let me know if this works for you if not I understand and please accept my apologies.

mkdiehl 10-12-2009 07:08 PM

SOOOO, I just priced up a convertible and it is exactly the price quoted above....obviously they made a mistake.

Sorry for the alert.

It's as if they haven't sold a car before....

nogoodname 10-12-2009 07:41 PM

so is the pricing the same for the coupes?

FuszNissan 10-12-2009 07:45 PM

The pricing for 2009 coupe to 2010 coupe should go up like 800.00. That is for a convertible.

BTW.. you can't place an order for a 2010 coupe yet.

FL370 10-12-2009 09:03 PM

$800???!

I doubt such an increase....

Jason 10-12-2009 09:30 PM

i believe it. f'in sharks.

Cjanik 10-13-2009 12:00 AM

They are playing with you. "Nissan allowed us to cancel the order", haha.

they had no idea that they were talking about convertibles all this time, and wont admit their mistake.

My order was placed last month. I was told it will be built mid to late October and delivered early to mid November. I will get confirmation of the build date soon. It shouldn't be different for us Canadians should it? Maybe it's because we are closer to Japan ;).

SGTseanzie 10-13-2009 02:15 AM

That is a bit pricey. I ordered a 2010 same Specs minus the nav for 36,206.

So how are these guys coming up with pricing? And how are they ordering coupes?
Nothing is released yet. I am sorry to tell you but they can't order 2010 coupes yet and they have no idea what pricing is yet. Don't shoot the messenger

military autosource. They are using the 2009 prices, i do believe?

It says the ESTIMATED uplift is 1,042.

The added this, then subtracted it at the end of the offer.

Mine was ordered weeks ago based on 2009 pricing with an increase if applicable. They have my deposit and I'm just waiting on confirmation of build and delivery.

I know..I know. Nissan doesn't know that it's ordered though. They are just holding your paperwork.

so you'd have to order it from the factory!!

maybe they can revise my order?

FuszNissan 10-13-2009 02:48 PM

No, you don't have to order it from the factory. It will be an add on accessory, you can put it on whenever you like down the road.

Do you know if this can be added to an 09 model with nav?

FuszNissan 10-13-2009 08:32 PM

From what I understand yes. And it should be out around the release time of the 2010 coupes.

I have made a deal based on dealer invoice, so the twins are pressure free. I just spoke with the dealer and voiced my concern that they have not placed the order and are just hanging onto the paper work. I was informed that the person responsible for placing orders in this region has placed the order, and I will have confirmation of the build date soon. I have no reason to believe they are lying to me as they have been nothing but professional to deal with.

FuszNissan 10-14-2009 07:13 AM

So....what's your order ID number?

You are going through Military right? Who knows it maybe different.

March, what the hell. Why so long?

Dek25ive 10-14-2009 06:06 PM

Have no clue. I requested a delivery date of early Feb. Might be because I ordered a Nismo.

Yea I called a local dealership asking when the 10's would be on the lot and he was saying Feb. He says they stay true to the calendar year when they drop. Dammit I don't want to wait that long. I was hoping November or December for an early Christmas gift for myself. Oh well, guess that means I can save up more of a down payment.

Dek25ive 10-14-2009 06:24 PM

Man I feel you wanted to get from Iraq for a lil bit with a nice ride waiting for me...Flippin it to a positive though ordered rims today and like you said Ill be able to hit that down payment a lil harder.

sorry for the n00b question, but whats the difference between the coupe and the convertible. i thought the standard is the coupe and the convertible is the new 2010 model.

is there a 2010 model coming out (standard z, or coupe) anytime soon. i only ask because i have not seen any official news on the 2010 model, with the exception of the convertible.

i think the word convertible is what is confusing me, since on nissan's website, it is roadster

either way, if there is a 2010 coupe coming out (not interested in the roadster), can someone point me in the right direction for information on what the difference might be "spec" wise from the 2009 coupe.

thanks in advance

ps
i think i answered my own question about the diffbtw convertible and coupe so pls ignore it.:happydance:

EDIT:
found the info:
2010 coupe info

Perfectnobody, the info you need is quoted above.
:rofl2:

there's actually a 2010 Nismo already "out" as well. Pictures show an oil cooler in the grill this time around.
