The 2010 Nismo better have an intercooler...Also I wonder if there will be any specific badge changes? Next year is the anniversary year right?

theDreamer 10-14-2009 09:22 PM

We should have a 2010 coupe anniversary addition but no word on what it will be or have different.

Mine was ordered Persimmon. Takes 6 months!!!:icon14:

Roughly, as not to disrupt OPSEC, when are you going to be home?

I just received confirmation of a November build with a order number. Here in Canada we now get a rear cargo cover and the key fob now has a Z on it instead of a Nissan logo.

mkdiehl 10-15-2009 06:59 PM

I was given a copy of my "order" today.
What do you think Lou? Sound legit?

Order#JD69054
Production Month: 11/2009
ETA: Month of 1/10

FuszNissan 10-15-2009 10:05 PM

Sounds legit!

Really, man I wish we got a Z logo on the fob. that would look sweet.

When does a dealership place an order for new cars? Is it the beginning of the month or end of the month? And am I right it takes about 3 months to receive the car once the order has been placed? Thanks

FuszNissan 10-15-2009 10:40 PM

It is usually second week of the month, and a Z usually takes 2-3 months.

radiZh 10-15-2009 10:48 PM

Do we have to order it? Or will they have it in stock at dealerships? =S

All order ID numbers have 2 letters in front of the numbers. Like FB71270. Who knows maybe they are getting distrubution to order them.

Hmm interesting. Hope this is right, if so that would be great.

I spoke to my dealer Friday, who showed me a printout of 2010 Zs he had coming in -- convertibles and coupes. The verts will probably be in in the next couple of weeks. He had already received one, where many dealers here have yet to get their first roadster. The coupes were slated for November/December delivery. So, while he wasn't technically taking orders, he did offer to put my name on one from his allocation. He mentioned that sometimes marking one as "pre-sold" got it delivered faster.

Please note that, while he did have the cars on the list to be delivered, pricing for coupes had not been released as of Friday.

That sounds to me like he was just trying to convince you to pre-order. I doubt that will have any effect on delivery date. They will tell you anything you want to hear within reason to make the sale usually.

Nah, he wasn't asking for any pre-payment or "order". I've dealt with this guy -- he's the GM of the dealership -- for awhile in my business.

We were just talking and I was letting him know that when the right combo comes in, I'll buy it. He was showing me what's on order in his allocation to see if he could accommodate me. In fact he wasn't taking orders on 2010 coupes yet -- prices weren't released yet.

I have one on order!

Ok, I got my 2010 ordered from US auto exchange here in Germany. I ordered it on September 1st. I got the 2010 for the same price as the 2009. They put a mark up of $954 for the 10' and discounted of the invoice. I was told it takes around 7 months before it gets here. I am going back to Iraq in December so I have time to save up for a nice down payment! I already have a factory order number as well.

I got an email from the dealer today and they have an ETA of Jan for it to hit the states and it should be here in Germany at the end of Feb. That means it will be here 4-5 months before I get back from Iraq! Good thing my wife can't drive stick and wreck it! I hope this info helps.

Holliday 10-25-2009 02:10 AM

It would be a good car for her to learn how with the synchroRev match I guess. It would just be a really BAD time while I am down range. HAHAHA!
