Default Crown Nissan in Greensboro, NC

I didn't plan on making a purchase tonight, but after a half dozen trips to the manager, the salesman met my needs:

Base + sport 7AT, illuminated kick plates, splash guards, all mats
Price: $32,591
Invoice: $32,348

In my area, the $1000 rebate is not active, so I couldn't use it, but being within ~$250 of invoice, I bit.

Crown did a good job. It was a fair amount of work but they were honest with the invoice price when they realized I knew what the invoice pricing was (their initial offer was ~$3000 over invoice...whatever). As part of the agreement, they agreed NOT to charge me their ~$500 documentation fee. They told me that the fee was how they made money and I told them that's not true and they made the holdback. Eventually they dropped the dealer fee altogether. So, final price was $32,591 + TTT.

I can't believe I bought a red car. It's freaking awesome.

Good job!! :-) Enjoy and share some pics! I'm in Charlotte but wound up going to Jim Mill in over the border in VA. They had the color/model I wanted, and all the local Nissan dealerships here are dirtbags. (no really, they're VERY bad).

Really stupid question, but tonight my son (4 years old, 32 pounds) and I went for a ride for the first time in the car. I expected the automatic airbag light to come on saying the passenger airbag was off, but it did not. Do I need to do something to make sure the airbag is off when he's riding with me? I thought it would be weight sensitive and do it automatically.

Also, only because I'm tired of reading the manual, does this thing take regular or premium? Thankfully, I was at least able to figure out how to open the fuel door .

from the owners manual...page 1-32

If the passenger air bag status light will not
illuminate even though you believe that the child
restraint, the seat belts and the occupant are
properly positioned, the system may be sensing
an unoccupied seat (in which case the air bag is
OFF). Your NISSAN dealer can check that the
system is OFF by using a special tool. However,
until you have confirmed with your dealer that
your air bag is working properly, do not transport
a child in this vehicle.

Found the gas requirement...91 octane or higher.

As far as the airbag thing goes, I traded my other car yesterday, so I don't have another form of transportation. Tomorrow night I have to go to the dealership and my son will be with me, so I'm going to ask them to check this. This is extremely important.

I don't understand why the light wouldn't be on. Isn't that the point of having the airbag light?
