What is my 2014 Z worth?
 

Hey all!!

I am looking to trade in my 2014 Z possibly. It is a base model with 13K miles on it.

What is the value? I am in Charlotte, NC. Clean car.

However, I did make a mistake to report a small scrap on my car so apparanlty it is on my carfax. I am guessing this will lower the value? Kicking myself hard for that! Noob here!

So I have been on KBB, how accurate is it? And because of my scrape doesn't that affect it?

Just trying to see what everyone thinks?

I want to trade it in for the new nismo Z.

KBB is reasonably accurate but I suggest looking at several sites and taking an average.

Depends on what a "scrape" is and how well it was repaired. If it was just a small scratch and the repair can't be noticed, it shouldn't have any effect on price. If you were playing Dukes of Hazzard and bent the frame, that's gonna cost ya.

If you make a claim Ya it'll be on car fax but you also shoulda got devaluation if u had it fixed

Understand. How much would that devalue? That is why I am looking for everybody's help here.

That's up to the adjuster. As long as u fixed it with the money u got on the claim then Ya u should. Maybe 250-500 who knows??????

as other stated, just check your local private parties for sale sources and go from there. KBB is a good reference.

As for the scrape on carfax, if it is just a small scrape and fixed properly, it should be fine. Hope you took some pics to document the scrape.

With the soft paint, I am sure many of us have resprayed the front due to rock chips etc., and that's probably similar to some small scrape which shouldn't devalue the car.
