I drove stock turbo cars before. But I didn't know a GTR's turbos spooled up that loud. Is that stock?

if a transmission is the only reason that makes a car fun then wow. I personally find driving a GT-R fun. But I've never driven a TTZ either.

IMO - anything with AT is boring to drive regardless of what it is. so yes the transmission can real make or break the deal…….. at least for me it does.

I would love to own a GTR however it would be an older one R32 or R34 with MT hell I'd even consider trading my Z for one

Nice vid

Again that's a stupid comment in my book. But that's your opinion.

Like to see this from a dig and with a driver that knows what he's doing in the GT-R

I like manual, but automatic is the new standard. Dual clutch transmissions, ultra fast shifting...If the supercars like Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, McLaren, GTR, and the like are doing it, then the others will follow. If you want manual but "NHRA" level hp, then buy a domestic like Vette, Mustang, Hellcat, etc. I'm still not impressed with how lots of domestics' formula for their upcoming performance cars is just: let's add more hp, torque. "That'll show the imports who's boss!" That's such a knuckle-dragging dogmatic perspective. But to each his own.

Everyone's been on the hipo, race-car-inspired auto trannies since the last 6, 7 years. Manuals are an anachronism. It's like saying hipo cars still use carborators; it's fuel-injection, actually direct injection now. Times change, and you should embrace it.

coming from a guy with an AT…….. do you even know how to drive a car with a third pedal??

I'll give you then benefit of the doubt and say you do know how to and think your probably just some old fart with a bum left knee and can no longer take all the action in that joint.

you guys make me laugh MT is for true enthusiasts that know how to drive a car. But ok lets give more control to computers, you are probably the same people that are in favour of hands free cars that will drive themselves. I am all for technology improvements, not technology taking full control, but when it's my "fun/toy" car I want it MT.

It's funny how only the AT owners get offended when people say a true sports car should be MT

This might be a new speed record for a thread devolving into another MT vs AT discussion.
