370z matte grey plasti dip

I got plasti dip put on the car and wheels. Grey and black respectively. I was curious about what it would look like before I got it so here are photos for the rest of you in case you're curious

I also have my tail lights smoked :)

I hate plasti dip but Damn if that doesn't look good. Good job

Mitco39 10-16-2014 09:14 AM

It does look very good. I just question how it will look in a year from now.

That's the thing about plasti dip if you don't like it or it starts to fade or chip just peel it off and do it again. That stuff is pretty cheap as far as painting goes. About 400$ if I'm not mistaken

I'm washing it later but I neglected it to see how bad it gets. I can notice a difference already though. It will never look like day 1 up close ever again but good enough. Mine was 1000 and he did the wheels too. Wheels are 100 at the place I went

Mind if I ask who did the dip? CA can't get dip in the gallons, so someone must've drove it over there. I run a shop in AZ, and we would generally charge about $650 for a charcoal gray dip and $150 for wheels. + $25 for gloss. Sounds like they charge a little bit extra to get the dip into the state, but the end result looks good. Still $1500 cheaper than a wrap!

Also, Turtle Ice Spray Wax works wonders for keeping the dip looking and staying new.

It's a little late to keep the dip looking new lol. And I'm slowly getting over it. It's such a pain to maintain and I'm always paranoid about it. He said he would maintain the dip for me for free because he's cool like that and I've sent him a decent amount of business. I'll PM you the info.

Exactly how I feel about my wrap... Its worth it for a year or two I guess but it definitely gets old.

That gray looks great! And speaking of great colors.. I LOVE that red on the R6. In the future, im going to try and do a two tone on my ZX6R with black and that red.

I went to go buy a cbr but I saw this bike at the dealership and had to have it. Something about that candy apple red. And it just looked so mean!

The guys did a great job with the plasti dip but I guess it does get old. I should have taken a pic when I washed it. It looks good... Not great, but good. Anyway I highly recommend it if you're looking to throw some money into your car for a major cosmetic change. The wheels hold up fine and it's not to have a fun looking car. It can be a pain in the butt to keep clean but even if you leave it you should get your moneys worth from it.

Look at the Sakhir Red Pearl from KPs, Radiant or Red Rum Pearl from P&P, or Nebula Red! Also for the black, check out HaloEfx Convert black. or just bring the bike to me for a complete spray!
