Just curious, and not that it matters. But have you ever thought of weighing the Z to see how much lighter it might be?

Not knocking anything the OP has done- it's awesome. It's just unlikely there's a lot of weight savings over Al.

Wet carbon is heavy, Now if it were dry carbon diffrent story. But dry carbon is 2X-3X more expensive...

There is a guy who did this with his gtr over at gtrlife forum. He went one step further and had the actual shell made from carbon fiber as well. That's crazy.

Definitely gotta give you props, I've seen your car referenced all over the net and there have been haters and non believers but that is clearly quality work and you can't knock on that plus I'm sure it looks mean as hell in person!

I know with my car personally, there was virtually no weight saved from OEM hood to CF hood. But as for the swap from OEM fenders to CF fenders, there is definitely a weight drop.

the car is lighter.. The seibon door shells are 14 lbs each the stocks are around 26, dry is around 10lb. So carbon fiber is lighter but its not a fox body mustang obviously. Nissan did a wonderful job building the z with lightweight aluminum

hey billet, how did you secure the splitters to your hood? I have a set and they need some work to fit properly and I am debating ever putting mine on.
