More pictures!
I was walking around the halls of Makahari Messe (Tokyo Auto Salon) and I couldn't help but get a picture of this for my fellow Z34 owners! Yeah. I happen to own a Z34 if you guys didn't know. Also, this specific post will be dedicated to wheels because.. we can't help but admire some JDM eye candy no? 18" Advan GT wheels with Project Mu brakes? Don't mind if I do! BBS LM. Don't know about you guys, but I LOVE the look of BBS on our cars (when done right!). Rays' new Velvet Marine finish! It's absolutely amazing in person. We've ordered a couple sets so far and I love "checking" them in. Advan TCIII is a nice remake of an original classic wheel. (I used to own all of the second generation wheels that Advan made: RGII, TCII, etc.) Work came out with some new finishes this year (maybe to battle Rays' new velvet finishes) I'll finish off this post with some multi-piece Work madness! Work Gnosis HS203! Work Gnosis FCV03. Work Gnosis CV201. More pictures of sexy cars coming up! |

Let's start off today's coverage with this riDONKulous ride! Hit or miss? Hate it or love it?
Those who watch Top Gear UK should recognize this familiar car! Go watch the episode on the Reliant Robin if you want some good laughs at work! Even the Japanese love their Super Bass. Sick Veyron! Wait.. what? The best part about Tokyo Auto Salon is the wide variety, makes, and models of cars that are displayed! There is always something for everyone and in this case.. well we'll let the picture speak for itself: dekotora truck! Check out this crazy 86 from Kuhl Racing! Another great thing about Tokyo Auto Salon is that there are HUNDREDS of cars at the show, but each and every single car pays so much attention to small details! At first this looks like a random older generation Lexus.. .. but it takes a keen eye to notice small things like this carbon fiber intercooler piping! LOL who invited the vdub to Tokyo? Go home vdub, you're drunk! Didn't expect this coming did you? This is actually a drift car haha. Besides race queens, the halls of Tokyo Auto Salon are filled with interesting characters such as this guy. More coverage coming soon! I promise some more normal automotive eye candy! |

More pictures! Team Orange drift cars! We have some good video of the drifting exhibitions that went on during Tokyo Auto Salon! We'll be sure to upload some later! Miura-san driving the KM4SH (Kei Miura x Speed Hunters) demo car! Also pictured is the Varis Z34 demo car. This car needs no introduction. Self explanatory haha. This was a cool display of the new Axela aka Mazda 3 here in the states. Makes me consider buying one. These type of cars seem to pop up at every event, whether it be SEMA or TAS. New Liberty Walk R35 GT-R! Zele only brought out their 86 this year. Roberuta had a pretty impressive display this year. Not only was the booth ginormous, but they had this nice Porsche Carrera GT on display among a couple other exotics (which are ridiculously more expensive over in Japan than over here in the states). One of my favorite cars at the show was this Aimgain 86. Aimgain's new design philosophies have begun incorporating the Lexus hourglass shaped front grill for an "OEM-plus" type of look. I'm sure if the over fenders were molded into the body, it would look like something Lexus would bring to the market! Another cool feature was that this side of the car had green faced Work Meister S1 wheels and the other side had polished faces. Super clean Rocket Bunny kitted S13! These headlights were definitely an eye catcher, especially considering the "gatling gun" projectors from a Q45 incorporated RBG color changing LEDs. One thing that disappoints me is that the Mercedes Benz A45 AMG hatchback will never make it over to the states. I guess we're stuck with the lame CLA45 AMG sedan counterpart. Nonetheless, here are some super clean examples that will make you join my A45 AMG hatchback bandwagon! Varis has an entire kit (front, sides, rear, wing) out for the A45 AMG Hatchback! Who wants a Top Secret TITANIUM cup? Shoot us a PM if you're interested and we can get them for you no problem at all! I'll finish off this post with some ENGINE PORN. NSFW. OS Giken L28 TC24-B1Z. This is a remake of the old L28 TC24-B1. What's different is that the displacement has been brought up to 3208cc (3.2L). It revs up to 10,000rpm and makes a staggering 420PS (about 415hp). More coverage coming soon! |
