Anyone knows how to embed mp4 video so it shows the actual 1st frame instead of the url?

Anyone knows how to embed mp4 video so it shows the actual 1st frame instead of the url?

I did a little research but can't guarantee I came up with the right answer.
It appears that one must use the HTML EMBED tag for non-Youtube/Vimeo videos. It also appears that HTML is turned off for comments on this site.  Only thing I can think of is to upload your video to Youtube and use the YOUTUBE tag.
